Thank you very much for remembering me and extending such a lovely birthday greeting! It is wonderful to hear from you! It is also good to hear that you remember my dad so fondly. He started us both on the Quaker path, and I still attend MFW with my students and am a member at Chestnut Hill Meeting. I, also, appreciate the meditative silence of Quaker Meeting and find it restorative and insightful. We can both thank Bruce for that! I recall attending MFW at Abington for outside worship and really liked simply sitting next to my dad in peaceful surroundings.

Woolman was an abolitionist, and a prominent Quaker conscientious objector and pacifist during the French and Indian Wars (and spent some time in New England, although he didn't make it Cuttyhunk island, I think, which was originally owned by Peleg Slocum (1654–1732), a Quaker, but he did travel in the ministry to nearby Quaker Meetings, I've read) - 


Just attended in Cambridge, Massachusetts, while staying at the Friends Meeting of Cambridge, attending the Harvard Aging Research and Drug Discovery conference, in which George Church was a key speaker, about 4 Quaker Meetings on 10/4 after the conference including, MfW, & MfWfB and meeting with Harvard Quaker Chaplain John Bach, and holding Friendly-informed World Univ & Sch's Weekly Business Meeting (loosely conducted in the Manner of unprogrammed Friends/ Quakers). But am also continuing to explore Yoga (as in 8 limbs of Yoga) but in innovative 'Hippy-anjali Yoga Notations' ways - http://www.scottmacleod.com/yoganotations.html, having gone to Pendle Hill Quaker Center for Study and Contemplation where I got to know your great father, Bruce, and Eleanor too, pretty well, because I couldn't go to NYC to study Yoga with the amazing Mary Dunn; After 3 1/2 years at Pendle Hill, I returned to the SF Bay Area to attend the Iyengar Yoga Institute of SF, doing a 2 year CA certificated teaching program there in a year, while much appreciating Yogis' and old Hippies' Angela and Victor's Yoga, with which this is partly a riff - http://www.scottmacleod.com/yoganotations.html. 

Just attended 2-4 weeks ago Multnomah Monthly Meeting online in Portland Oregon, which I was active in from 1979-1987, and it's possible that Friend Peter Ford there will become CFO of Friendly-informed World Univ & Sch, and thus a WUaS executive, although it would be great if WUaS could find other Friends interested in helping to grow World University and School ... and in each of all 200 countries and in their main languages.  

Please let your Frankford Friends' K-8 kids know of free-to-students' World University and School online, for when they graduate from high school in Philadelphia. Hopefully WUaS will be accredited and in high school college counselors' offices by then.

Allagash Wilderness Waterway, Maine: Friends Meeting at Cambridge Guest Room Information - Would anyone in Cambridge MA today like to join this Quaker meeting Friends' 'sit-in' Quaker Sit (traveling inwardly in a kind of meditation)? (Would love to see friends / Friends - Charlie (Nesson), Karen (Brennan), Dick (Robb MD?), Larry (Lessig)?) * Harvard ARDD sessions run from 1-3, in two locations (and now accessible via live streaming on Zoom), and so I may attend the Quaker Sit in Divinity Chapel - re the divine esp??? - depart a little before 1 into the Harvard Divinity School library or similar, and watch the sessions, orienting myself to the 2 sets / streams of talks (over the next 3 days), in The Canopy in the Harvard Tree House, and in Cedar Grove. Harvard (& Haverford) professor Henry Cadbury was Hollis Professor of Divinity, which professorship is in the Harvard Divinity School to this day, and am curious what he professed at Harvard e.g. which led to the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of Friends. He accepted the Nobel Peace prize on behalf of American Quakers, and the American Friends Service Committee in 1947, (with I think possibly Margaret Backhouse accepting it on behalf of British Friends Service Council). The Nobel Peace Prize for Quakers' address is one of the most inspiring Quaker writings I've known in the past: * "Award ceremony speech Presentation Speech by Gunnar Jahn, Chairman of the Nobel Committee The Nobel Committee of the Norwegian Parliament has awarded this year’s Peace Prize to the Quakers, represented by their two great relief organizations, the Friends Service Council in London and the American Friends Service Committee in Philadelphia." https://www.nobelprize.org/prizes/peace/1947/ceremony-speech/. - as I was driving through the town of Pacifica south of SF, and where quaker international organized crime criminal alice sowaal may live, still?, (a former? sf state university phil instructor) ... and who may have been contributing for decades (with mit and cal berkeley law alum bob kovsky?? +) to organizing the wrongful buying and selling of people in illegal sex & violence & military targeting etc industries internationally, and out of the sf quajer meeting on 9th street about  which I whistle blow loudly in around 2017, and continue to do so ... and as AI and ML and GPS information technologies continue to iterate and develop ...
