Keep calm in the time of coronavirus meme - with one's good 'agency' (or free will or intentional action)... ?




Desiderata

GO PLACIDLY amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Appreciating your affirmation, - which I think I've heard in recent conversations. How to realize or MANIFEST connecting, I wonder? I think I could learn teamwork from my 'individualism' thinking - and I've been a Red Sox fan from an early age (which team plays a big role in Boston culture) and kind of a Boston-person too ... since I was born in the 'People's Republic of Cambridge' (something from the late 1960s)  :)

And in a Boston-vein, is my piping album a question of MIND? (regarding concentration - how one focuses - regarding Yoga and philosophy questions too ... I may write out a schedule for playing today, as well as making robotics and programming them with Scratch)

But still no email from her ... Hmmm ...  (there's 'being a character' thinking in our family I'd say too :)

Rainy Sunday here. But kinda nice. Thinking about beginning a family ... and questions of modeling consciousness even ... regarding brain-in-a-vat philosophy experiments (going back to Descartes and skepticism questions) but also regarding creating a realistic virtual Harbin for study, and soaking from home ... 

 ... but also modeling brains from within a realistic virtual earth ... (giving new meanings to 'be-in' brain in a vat questions, ontology too) ... so actual - virtual people's brains in their actual-virtual bodyminds while soaking in the Harbin warm pool (or bathtubs as proxy, with digital mask. :) ... and modeling at the cellular and atomic levels too, with brainwave headbands transmitting data from physical people via wifi to virtual people as models ... in this realistic virtual earth ... soaking there is nice ... this philosophical IT modeling complex and innovative and developing ... :)

... and wondering too whether anyone in Canyon might get the coronavirus (people are circulating a lot here even with California stay-home directives) ...
