And Kim Stafford was a conscientious objector in the 1970s (as was I in a way), and in the Church of the Brethren interview - https://youtu.be/0GEEkan_uRk (Brethren Community Television) - he describes himself as a 'wild child' in the '60s and '70s, at about the 12 minute mark - which I take as a reference to being a hippy. Good to hear.

I think it was in an Oregonian newspaper article from yesterday even that I learned of Kim Stafford, but I can't find it now. And this "Poems for the Pandemic"  - https://projects.oregonlive.com/kim-stafford/ - isn't it, albeit it's interesting that Kim Stafford is writing Coronavirus pandemic poems, and in the Oregonian. Am appreciating too the image of a poet I'm seeing and hearing, - as well as learning of a kind of pacifist alternative progressive western history of him and his father. I don't hear this history all that much these days.
