Alex and Sindhuja, Jacqueline and Anna,

Thank you for MIT Solve "Moral Leadership to Solve World Challenges" July 7, 2020 talk today, and your great and visionary-pragmatic conversation - https://mit.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_llYv0bvKSrqJNO_b_Jd07Q ( https://www.mitcnc.org/events/solving-from-anywhere/ ).

Here's the question I asked in text chat:

Sindhuja, thank you! In seeking to develop online wiki education (and best STEM CC-4 OpenCourseWare degrees), in ALL languages (and Wikipedia is in 300 languages), as well as, brainstorming-wise, Universal Basic Income experiments, with potentially coding for all 7.5 billion people - and to distribute a single cryptocurrency worldwide - potentially with the Google-Apple coronavirus App, in what ways might this help facilitate DOST’s work moving ahead for you? Thank you for your amazing work! Namaste, Scott (sgkmacleod@worlduniversityandschool.org)

These UBI experiments to distribute a single digital currency in most of ~200 countries would also facilitate alleviating poverty worldwide - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Poverty_Action .

Jacqueline, let's add Acumen Academy and your "Manifesto for a Moral Revolution: Practices to Build a Better World" book as resource to https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Subjects or https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Courses (if Acumen Academy free, excellent, and somehow otherwise open, potentially Creative Commons' 4 licensed too, or similar). Regarding "education of character, not just competency" (and potentially in other countries at WUaS, and in other languages as well), perhaps we could talk further regarding World Univ & Sch which is both best STEM CC-4 OpenCourseWare-informed (eg https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/translated-courses/) as well as Quaker-informed.

Anna, in suggesting, perhaps from an UAE perspective in part, to  "tax their citizens to make the whole system work much better" am wondering about taxable UBI experiments and information technologies, perhaps to develop better working nation state IT infrastructure in all ~200 countries / and in their official / main languages.

Sindhuja, regarding making education "more social and collaborative" - and besides wiki and group video, how about sharing ideas about this in wiki-conversations, for how this might work on-the-ground in face-to-face in person too?

Regarding moral leadership, how we redefine success, and who benefits, what about also reframing our definition of success and building from there in taking moral leadership to YouTube and Twitter, as well, in particular? I was curious in your panel discussion about a role for moral leadership on the web (and in teaching a course on the Network Society, Information Technology and the Global University - http://worlduniversityandschool.org/InfoTechNetworkSocGlobalUniv.html - which is somewhat UC Berkeley Manuel Castells' informed).

How might we best communicate further about all of this? Might there be a way to develop World Univ & Sch at MIT Solve similar to https://solve.mit.edu/challenges/early-childhood-development/solutions/6451/application ?

Best regards, Scott

Thank you for your amazing work!, Scott - sgkmacleod@worlduniversityandschool.org (perhaps in collaboration with edX further for online multilingual education), and regarding its money transfer mechanism too for UBI experiments, all 7.5 billion people a Wikidata PIN # (similar to a Wikidata Q-item #) and in Wikipedia / Wikidata's 300 languages).

How could we improve Solving from Anywhere?

In advancing "lasting solutions from tech entrepreneurs to address the world’s most pressing problems" (https://innovation.mit.edu/resource/mit-solve/) and "a mission to identify the best solutions to specific, actionable challenges through open and collaborative innovation, and to build and convene a community of leaders to create partnerships needed to pilot, implement, and scale these solutions." (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIT_Solve), best STEM CC-4 OpenCourseWare-centric World University and School would be interested in collaborating.

Here, too, is the question I asked: Alex, Jacqueline, Anna & "Sindhuja, thank you!
