Ki-a-Kuts Falls (Oregon): WUaS Websites are Growing World Univ & Sch! * * * Been exploring some longevity genetics' questions further, here too - and regarding an emerging National Science Foundation grant proposal ... adding chickens to the species' list (in addition to humans, possibly chimpanzees, but not locally), dogs, mice, Drosophila flies) ... regarding developing an Actual-Virtual WUaS outdoor science laboratory * If WUaS can proceed with this longevity research & via the National Science Foundation ... WUaS Websites are Growing World Univ & Sch!


Dear Shahbaz, Prasanth, Larry, Mwende, Sri Lanka WUaS, Peter, Universitians, All, 

Partly in response to your recent questions, and your learning to code, Mwende, in Scratch with CC-4 "CS First with Google at World Univ & Sch" course, - https://csfirst.withgoogle.com/s/en/home - I've done a major update to the World University and School website - http://worlduniversityandschool.org/ - including now listing 41 Majors and Minors (and thanks to WUaS CFO Larry Viehland for listing the distribution requirements' credit units a while ago esp. (involving getting 120 credit units for a free Bachelor's degree). Thanks too to Peter Bothe for the Logos some time ago as well. You can see more about the WUaS CC-4 and other licensing on this website now too.

PhD students, please feel free to begin studying if this might be of interest to you. If you're interested in a bit more structure, like in the course  "CS First with Google at World Univ & Sch" please let me know, and I'll keep you posted. 

I've also updated the WUaS Educational Services' Bookstores / Cafes, Computer Stores and Robotics' Stores, as well as the Academic Press at World Univ & Sch webpage - http://worlduniversityandschool.org/AcademicPress.html - where you'll find the 3 Lego Robotics' kits that WUaS is an authorized reseller of online and in the USA, as well as the 5 books the WUaS Press has published since 2016. These are not yet translated into any of the other 7,139 known living languages with machine translation, but may be, and from GDocs and with GTranslate, and printed onto both paper, and into a new #wuAsVR hardware format for visiting and interacting in a realistic virtual earth, then piped into, and available from, the Actual-Virtual, Physical-Digital WUaS Bookstores with time.

I'd advise chickens and bees. The present moment is all we have. Bees focus on the present moment for the entirety of their six weeks of life. Who knows what chickens think about. Bugs, maybe?

Sue-bees! in terms of lab animals for genomics of 3 flying species - if I too decided on bees - for their genetics of FLYING ...  could be great, in addition to Drosophila flies (how to keep these in climate controlled laboratory, and energy wise too for Immortality genetic questions (and see, for example, Harvard and MIT Prof of Genetics' George Church here - "My Theory & The Future Of Aging | Prof George Church Interview Series Episode 1" - https://youtu.be/mztOFAQf8uY at about 8 minutes, for ex.) ... Glad their life spans are relatively short up to this point) and chickens ... Then humans, dogs and mice on the mammal side (all for local extraction of genetic material too .. then to be digitized, and made into virtual reality objects! At cell and molecule levels with Film-To-3d App) re the PHYSICAL, and then all 6 species developing digitally in a realistic virtual earth for genetics (and with avatar bot electronic medical records for humans - and do it yourself gene editing even). May seek to also find access to chimp genetic material for human-chimp close comparison! Focus then on 7 species perhaps ...  It would be great if Stanford could invest in some properties along the ridge next to where you visited me at 670 Ridgecrest Canyon, Sue, too ... And even for developing a Lego Robotics' Institute (thanks to Peter Norvig) ...  and some longevity animal hospital laboratories, including for keeping Drosophila fly, with Stanford staffing, and for a realistic virtual earth for genetics/everything, and even a field site for Actual-Virtual Harbin Hot Springs' Ethnographic book project in East Bay MUD near that rusted tank for water for cattle (and much closer than Harbin too)! ... A California thing? An investment in property in East Bay MUD, a collaboration with Independent OCW.MIT.Edu -centric Work World University and School? :)

Everything else in this thread is great - matching the properties of cash (privacy and user control) in any central bank digital currency is the right approach. But this one statement has issues which is reflective of binary thinking around CBDC system design.

This is misleading all-or-nothing "account vs token" thinking. That if a central bank issues a digital currency to users directly, that means it's acting like a retail commercial bank, which requires customer service and is a huge privacy leak. I don't think this is true at all.

First, the private sector will and should handle customer service and interfaces for users. But we should not force all users to sign up with a financial institution to transact in digital cash. It should work like physical cash does today - you don't need an account to get paid

I don't see the point of bothering with central bank digital currency at all if it requires users to access it through a commercial bank, which I hope
