Culturally familiar with living beyond 122 years of age? * World University and School Commune * (multimedia halls, and a concert hall and a Yoga hall with a lovely wood floor ... And a Lego Robotics' (Institute?) Space

Hi Ma, Joan, John, PIn, Ed, Barbara, Sandy,

I hope this finds you well. How are you?

Am not exactly sure what is happening later this spring in terms of where I'll be living (re living in a 'safe house' and potentially seeking asylum in the future) but these pictures of Canyon emerged from my Google Photos App t'morning, and as I wrote to my mother recently, I wonder even about developing and growing Work Wiki World University and School all along the ridge in Canyon where I lived for about 13 years somehow (multimedia halls, and a concert hall and a Yoga hall with a lovely wood floor ... And a Lego Robotics' (Institute?) Space with lovely creative design potentials toward humanoid robot builds  ... and digital medical schools and teaching hospital halls even for tele-robotic surgery developments as well ... And even a warm pool on East Bay MED land .3 miles away in an old rusted cattle watering tank ... With a slight hill to walk up from 670 ... And for further Actual-Virtual Harbin Hot Springs'Ethnographic field work and research and soaking : )...

And you may be able to 'walk' along this ridge in Google Street View with time slider here from nearby -

538 Ridgecrest

... And glad that World University and School is listed in Google Maps (amazingly) ...

Pics -
... Canyon, CA #Canyon94516 and its #EastBayMUD vast beautiful natural area as playground, 13 years' ago today, @sgkmacleod @scottmacleod -in #RealisticVirtualEarth too? #RealisticVirtualEarthForTraveling #wuAsVR~Grow & develop @WorldUnivAndSch eventually all along this ridge even?:)

Am presently also thinking about creating a new hippy community or commune at 670 Ridgecrest Rd if 'way were to open' (Quaker Friends' expression & thinking) to living there again somehow.

Interesting to find the Alpha Farm in Oregon's coastal mountains west of Eugene listing again in the -

Intentional Communities' directory -

Oregon -

Oregon coast in 2015 with the Alpha Bit Cafe Bookstore in Mapleton, OR (formerly of #AlphaFarm) ~ I enjoyed finding this update about Alpha Farm intentional community - https://www.ic.org/directory/alpha-farm/ ~ Hippy commune ~ begun in 1972 with #QUAKERs #Friends and consensus decision making).

... And while exploring listing a new hippy community in the Berkeley hills in East Bay MUD could be good for thinking about developing INTENTIONAL community, all along the ridge, am not sure if I will do this or not if I were able to move back to work developing World University and School Commune. Stay tuned.

Am not sure either if a hippy commune - in non-commune times - would be culturally familiar or what ..  :)

Warm regards, Scott

Ma, Joan, John, PIn, Ed, Barbara, Sandy,

I'm not sure it's possible now for it to be 'culturally familiar' to live beyond 122 years of age, but here below is an ongoing developing proposal to the National Science Foundation in these regards.

Regarding a hippy commune, potentially for sustainable agriculture too, at 670 Ridgecrest Rad Canyon 94516 - and the species in this NSF ideas' 'one-pager' proposal (below) - am curious too to add Actual-Virtual, Physical-Digital chickens in a realistic virtual earth for longevity and for species (https://twitter.com/HarbinBook/status/1244747357951909888 and https://twitter.com/hashtag/RealisticVirtualEarthForSpecies?src=hashtag_click), and such that we could begin to model them as realistic avatar bots virtually, and for their egg laying potentials esp, and in so many other ways, ie genetically. Could we then 'print' artificial chickens with a Lego Robotics' 3D printer that could then also lay eggs :)? Experimentally, and for the learning potential scientifically (and long centuries after we humans started 'messing' with chickens genetically to create breeds, etc., so it's not all that weird an idea :) And could I begin also to get gene samples from this World Univ & Sch Commune chickens, ... and dogs and mice and humans and drosophila flies (but not probably chimpanzees) on this hippy commune farm, and per the NSF proposal below, and then begin to explore modeling representations of their whole genomes, and what in their genes at the molecular level facilitated longevity and aging ... all in a Google platform for my, or your, untrained biological thinking  :)? Adding chickens to this proposal opens worlds to birds' genetics and a familiar and useful (for eggs for protein for ovo-lacto vegetarians too) ... complementing the other species in the NSF proposal below.

And for some related by completely different ...
but maybe as battery technology develops, this whole ridge in Canyon which gets amazing sun - and is Hot in the summer - could be decked with solar panel arrays and provide all the power Canyon's ~100 houses, and the McCosker ranch 1 2 up Pinehurst road with its ~25 houses too, need ... Yet maybe also such solar developments could be installed up above, near the old cedar or redwood water tanks (not that far from the current well house with electric pump, which I hope gets a filter on it for the light colored mineral in the water, and possibly also fluoride added to it, for good teeth development for kids even!:), and SolarPanel-Battery systems become so efficient that they wouldn't take up too much space. Much new grid energy planning needed as solar and battery technology develop ! Air conditioning in the World University and School Commune buildings would be great ... And planning for these energy uses with solar panel arrays and battery technology may be just emerging into the realm of cost effectiveness (even remarkably so with taking the long term investment view)!

Fond regards, Scott

This NSF grant writing potential, in communication with NSF senior administrator Alexandra Medina-Borja, is a work in progress (since I'm a very early stage principal investigator, and would need to team with folks ... George Church and Peter Norvig even?:), and this may develop into many academic disciplines at the NSF, and on both of WUaS's wings ... https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2022/01/california-red-legged-frog.html ... and the NSF's academic programs, and their small business science programs ... with parallels to WUaS's two wings possibly ...

Dear Alex, (Stephanie, All),

Thanks again so much for your emails. Having talked with Larry Viehland the CFO of World Univ & Sch (WUaS) on Saturday at WUaS Monthly Business Meeting (and who has received numerous NSF awards as PI he said then too), am seeking to submit an application to the NSF, following the NSF procedures and processes, in a NSF biology program (if this exists, and I can find a good fit), in order to -

1) to create a realistic virtual earth for genetics, with a
2) focus on longevity questions with machine learning, of potentially
3) a: humans, b: possibly another great ape for comparisons (e.g. Pan troglodyte or Pan paniscus?), c: dogs, d: mice, and e: drosophila flies.

Ideas' 'one-pager' research question:
What is the very documented longest life each species can live, and can WUaS use machine learning at the cellular, molecular and street view levels to help these species live longer than this genetically, and via adding genes back in to a species' or individual's genome (per George Church here - "How soon could humans reverse the aging process with genetic engineering?" ~ https://youtu.be/bnCEIPQFNnk) ?

And how to develop this in creating a realistic virtual earth for genetics, potentially, brainstorming-wise with Peter Norvig, head of Google AI (and for a realistic virtual earth, think Google Street View with time slider, Maps, Earth, TensorFlowAI, and even with realistic AvatarBot Electronic Medical Records for genetics, so little PegMan in Google Street View would grow), - and also with developing a Film-To-3D application at the street view, cellular and molecular levels ('landing' into Google Street View with time slider, Maps etc - for Actual-Virtual, Physical-Digital research of these questions, and for species' phenotypes too? In what ways could we begin to code in this realistic virtual earth with avatar bot electronic medical records, for all 331 million Americans, for longevity for longer than 122 years of age in humans with machine learning predictions, - and see this emerge in virtual or digital or artificial humans' avatar bots' phenotypes at age 123 years' old for example - and then in physical individual humans eventually?

(How best to develop this as classrooms and STEM biology field sites at ocw.mit.edu-centric wiki World Univ & Sch too)?

So,
when I look at the NSF website, to find a suitable NSF biology program (thanks Stephanie! for these 3 links: 1- https://beta.nsf.gov/, 2- https://beta.nsf.gov/funding/opportunities, and 3- https://nsfpolicyoutreach.com/ ) to write this to,  -

Dear Stephanie, and Alex,

Thanks very much for your 2 emails just now, Stephanie, and your focusing help in so many ways.

I think a realistic virtual earth for STEM - but beginning with a specific focus on developing a #RealisticVirtualEarthForGenetics for longevity (with machine learning predictions - https://twitter.com/scottmacleod/status/1480214252501700612, and see item 5b in the 1/15/22 WUaS Agenda - https://worlduniversityandschool.blogspot.com/2022/01/11522-sat-wuas-agenda-news-for-open.html) - https://twitter.com/hashtag/RealisticVirtualEarthForGenetics?src=hashtag_click for example - will promote the progress of science, advance national health, prosperity and welfare, and even secure national defense. I think too an Actual-Virtual, Physical-Digital approach to this single realistic virtual earth (think Google Street View with Time Slider, Maps, Earth, TensorFlowAI, Translate and realistic Avatar Bots with electronic medical records for all 331 million Americans, brainstorming-wise) with #FilmTo3D Apps (at street view, cellular and molecular levels) will further this greatly too. In addition, the all-languages' focus (7139) at World University and School will be fascinating to include regarding who on US soil speaks these languages - and for wiki STEM education communities (e.g. in the Tamil language in the US - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Tamil_language (planned in Tamil) - regarding learning programming and computer science, for example).

While WUaS seeks to reach out to prospective students in all ~50 US states (through their high school college counselors and similar) for free-to-students' CC-4 OCW.MIT.EDU-centric online degrees (Bachelor, PhD, Law, MD and IB high school), circumscribing how WUaS does this in a potential NSF grant application, when our WUaS Mission includes all countries - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/World_University_Foundation - will be a helpful further focusing endeavor.

Thanks so much, Stephanie and Alex, I haven't heard of any other Universities' projects to collaborate with, from ISSIP for example, and while I continue to keep my ears' open for volunteer reviewer NSF possibilities, I may seek to write this NSF grant opportunity, if I can find a program that fits to submit this to. Seeking further to follow up on learning NSF process and procedures in these regards - for which I thank you both!

If you are interested in funding, first be aware that NSF funds projects that are focused on advancing science in the United States of America, rather than non-US endeavors; work must be performed in the US. If you are interested in any of the funding opportunities, begin by reviewing each program page which will provide links to the related solicitations and recorded seminars that provide overviews of the programs. You will want to partner with US institutions of higher education and/or research to pursue funding for projects related to improving STEM education in the U.S. Additional information on preparing proposals and related resources is available from NSF Policy Office Outreach and can be found here: https://nsfpolicyoutreach.com/

For information regarding funding opportunities, see: https://beta.nsf.gov/funding/opportunities

I wish you success in your endeavor.

Best regards,
Stephanie August

Alex, Stephanie,

Greetings, and thanks for your communications, Alex. Here again is the ideas' 'one-pager' I shared with you last week - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2022/01/northern-double-collared-sunbird_0643275698.html.

I didn't add 1 of 2 WUaS financial reports to this email by accident, and so am including both of them for your consideration now.

For your interest, I've added an Agenda item (#5) regarding the NSF to the CC-4 OCW.MIT.EDU -centric wiki World University and School Agenda and News for open Monthly Business Meeting on Saturday, 1/15/22 at 9am PT, here -

Glad Mwende in Cameroon, Africa, is proceeding with the "CS First with Google at World Univ & Sch" course - https://csfirst.withgoogle.com/s/en/home - and learning the Scratch programming language in a fun way with coding blocks - which Google course is also CC-4 licensed, like CC-4 MIT OCW itself. Could this Computer Science CS First course be a primer or starter for entry into studying CC-4 MIT OCW itself - ocw.mit.edu - and for free to students' online Bachelor and PhD degrees. Thanks to Mwende for beginning the matriculation process at WUaS in this way for a free-to-student 120 credit unit Bachelor degree.

Growing World Univ & Sch online free Bachelor degrees in Cameroon Africa:

Mwende emailed just this morning, Jan. 11. 2022 :

"For the past 6 years, Cameroon has been going through a series of crises in which the English speaking regions are trying to secede from the French speaking part due to marginalization. But the Government is against it hence the wars, the internally displaced and many issues emanating from the crises. That means, even if people are willing to go in for a free Bachelors degree, there is no guarantee of having a stable internet connection and even stable electricity which is the reason why people are not showing enough interest in this program for now. But once I'll be done with the "Certificate" and gain skills they will have more reasons to follow suit. I am doing everything possible to complete this program and I will even love to take the 4 years' Bachelor's degree if possible as it will boost my countrymen (and women) to see reasons for adopting it and even integrating it as a part of the educational system.

For the meantime, I am very focused on completing this program and using the skills as proof of the churn in more people, in Africa, the best evidence is success hence until you've made it you can hardly convince people about anything."

Mwende: Thanks for the information and news about Cameroon too. Glad both the CC-4 'CS First with Google at World University and School' course and for example this half-length CC-4 licensed "Introduction to Computer Science and Programming in Python" -
https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-0001-introduction-to-computer-science-and-programming-in-python-fall-2016/ - have thought through questions of situations where internet connection is not working at times. - Scott

Computer Science Bachelor's degree MAJOR at WUaS (120 credit units with distribution requirements, studying CC-4- CS courses: eg https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/ - OCW.MIT.EDU)
Micro-credentials with certificates for some courses at WUaS

THE 'CS FIRST' class would be worth 3 credit units upon completion of the course, and the "Introduction to Computer Science and Programming in Python" would be worth 1.5 credit units, and could be followed with its companion course

All toward a Computer Science MAJOR re WUAS distribution requirements.

Am wondering if the Lego Spike Prime Robotics' Kit will come to interoperate with the Python language courses at MIT OCW. If so, I am wondering how you could get this kit from the WUaS Educational Services' Bookstore and Robot Store.

So WUaS is thinking about micro-credentialing along the way to a 4 years' 120 credit unit WUAS Bachelor's degree, so a certificate of completion for this "CS FIRST WITH GOOGLE AT WUAS" IS POSSIBLE.

2b
WUaS Home Robotics in the Engineering major - https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/#mechanical-engineering - (Bachelor and PhD) in Cameroon too?

Lego Spike Prime Robotics' kits for learning robotics and the Python programming languages in Cameroon interoperable with CC-4 MIT OCW?

Mwende, Lego Robotics towards an Engineering MINOR for you, Mwende, at OCW Courses' WUaS for your 4 years' 120 Unit Bach degree?

WUaS is seeking too to develop a Lego Spike Prime Robotics' course - to facilitate learning the Python programming language - and perhaps beginning in the May term

How best to connect with departments of education in all ~200 countries, and regarding students getting Lego Spike Prime Robotics' kits, and also regarding reimbursement to CC-4 OCW.MIT.EDU -centric wiki World University and School? We'll explore this in Monthly Business Meeting, - and potentially via a Google Workspace for Education platform too.

Aging reversal and longevity discussed:

'My Theory & The Future Of Aging | Prof George Church Interview Series Episode 1'

Aging and Age Reversal focus : 1:01
Why do we age? "I lean pretty heavily on the programming side" 2:38
"we know how to move that program around with cells ... "
"Age is mostly defined by your genes" 4:57
Living to 120 yo - "there I'm not convinced it's environment or genes" 5:45
Human aging eradicated by 2030? "I think we will have some sort of aging reversal that works in humans by then" 7:35
"because we already have aging reversal that works in animals" 7:40
"...and longevity that works ..." 7:45
"But I don't think that aging reversal results in longevity, end of aging, or immortality ... " 8:01

"It probably leads in that direction [immortality]" 8:10

How could the World Univ & Sch and in a realistic virtual earth for genetics too? :)

6

How to do some of this WUaS Monthly Business Meeting organization stuff while being in the field at Harbin Hot Springs, and developing my next actual virtual Harbin Hot Springs' Ethnographic book project, partly in Google Street View with time slider Maps Earth TensorFlowAI Translate with realistic Avatar Bots Electronic Medical Records -when Zoom doesn't integrate with this in the same way Google Meets do? Seeking to get soaking again, meditation and field work wise!:)

7

Wondering if Universitians, or you, Nancy Brazill (who may come to the open WUaS Monthly Business Meeting to listen in), might like to join World Univ & Sch, - and if becoming a 'Recording Clerk' might be of interest? And could this lead to an Acting COO (Chief Operations Officer) role, in this early phase of WUaS, too possibly?

Abolition movement thinking - http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2021/12/arctostaphylos-glauca-bigberry.html - to protect all 7.9 billion people, wiki teachers and learners, matriculating students in all ~200 countries and in all 7,139 languages, each a Wikidata Pin # or Q item # with machine learning and artificial intelligence, as well as with developing law and law enforcement post the Coronavirus non-Epidemic and related electronic medical records, as well as various virus meme variants becoming endemic (and even regarding World Universitians being models in these regards, and in a Friendly Quaker witnessing way, conscientious objection-wise (eg to war), and ethically too (so abolition of the wrongful buying and selling of people, for example, emerging from the abolition of slavery in 1833 in Britain, and the Emanciapation Proclamation in 1862 in the US, and related legal developments in all ~200 countries, and abolition movement in many other ways).

9

How to connect WIKI people-to-people education at WUaS, in planning for speakers of all 71,39 known living languages in all ~200 countries - all 7.9 billion people brainstorming-wise for free universal education with UBI Experiments to end poverty? Each Universitian a Wikidata Pin #?

So, UBI Experiments with Stanford Mine Pi - https://minepi.com/sgkmac (get your free cryptocurrency money daily here with this code) - to all 7.9 billion people, each a Wikidata Pin #, and regarding 'regulating' the new Mainnet Blockchain Ledger for example, and much more?

Thus, WUaS is seeking to connect CC-4 ocw.mit.edu-centric wiki World Univ & Sch planning with free people-to-people wiki-education for all 7.9 billion people on the planet potentially, and for speakers of all 7,139 known living languages!

Wiki language communities -

Mwende, are you a "grasslander" or Bamiléké since you live in Bafoussam, Cameroon  ... and do you also speak French, and a Bamiléké language ( eg 'Benue-Congo branch of the Niger-Congo family')?

I'm curious on World Univ and Sch's WIKI side if people who speak your first or native (?) language could 'secede' into an online language wiki school somehow from - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Languages - and create an online flourishing community out of this, and even in a realistic virtual earth for languages and with iterating realistic avatar bots too for linguistic developments and conversation?

I would add Mwende Evande's native Cameroonian language if I knew it.
