Scott, I think you are OK with your GEICO renter insurance. Check with GEICO to make sure.

To summarize, there are two types of property: real property and personal property. Real property is land and structures. Personal property is anything movable.

Homeowner insurance combines coverage for both types of property, real and personal. I believe it is homeowner insurance that is under stress in California. My insurance company, which caters to veterans, is sticking around.

Wow - nice to get your email just at the end of an Easter (and birthday too) walk with my mother here (while I'm in asylum) in Pittsburgh. Good news regarding your email and insurance developments in Canyon 94516, and thanks for thinking about this too. (Could you be in communication somehow with CA Senator Steve Glazer, of district 7, with offices about 8 miles from Canyon 94516?)

Here's a reference - " Compliments of GEICO: Gordon K, we've enclosed a quote (just for you)" from about 12/14/23 - to the Geico homeowners quote I got a few months' ago for just 670A Ridgecrest Rd, Canyon 94516 - for something like 1200 square feet - and where we shared quite a few suppers. Thanks again for coming to visit. 

Ownership, (renting per your email) of just  670A Ridgecrest Rd, Canyon 94516 has merit initially ... but it could be interesting for me and MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch to expand into 670B and 670C and the shop and all 1.5 acres with time ... and for the WUaS Longevity Genetics' Institute ... and potentially as a family comes along (possibly with D.... L... ..?, who knows vaccines ... ).
