Fernanda Suriani, Attorney for Federal Agencies for the Brazilian Government, will introduce us to PACIFICA. PACIFICA is an AI-assisted platform by Brazil's Attorney General's Office that accelerates eligibility checks for government maternity benefits. This innovation dramatically speeds payments to new mothers while reducing court congestion, freeing judicial resources, and enhancing access to justice.
It was a great honor to present the ODR project, Pacifica, at the prestigious CodeX meetings this week!
I would like to especially thank Roland Vogl and Bruce Cahan for the invitation. We had the opportunity to share our work, where my colleagues Andrea Vergara Leal, Ricardo Ribeiro, and I presented how AI is being used to promote access to justice in Brazil.
The discussion with the CodeX community was invaluable, reinforcing the crucial role that technology plays in the democratization of legal services.
