Finding ways of extending the survival time in Arctic waters without hampering mobility has been a priority for the U.S. Navy and research divers, as a pair of MIT engineering professors learned during a recent program that took them to a variety of naval facilities.

It seems like new gravel bikes are popping up everywhere, including the recently debuted Salsa Warbird version 4 and a lot of them are obviously influenced by Open Cycles’ UP and its design sibling, the 3T Exploro. The key features are dual 700C/650B wheel compatibility and the dropped drive side chainstay, but to be honest neither idea originated with the UP.

Karl Alex Muller's Birthday - physicist who discovered superconductivity

The Swiss physicist who along with J. Georg Bednorz discovered supercondutivity - the disappearance of resistance from metals at low temperature - giving the current ability to move without the loss of heat.

He won the Nobel prize for physics in 1987.
