When might we be able to email out this new

and the links to these 3-4 WUaS courses, for our WUaS prospective students to begin studying around September 1, 2020 even?

Bonjour Yvain, (Anant, Ned and Larry),

Very nice to talk to you in Paris last Wednesday. And thank you for asking me to send you 3-4 CC-4 MIT OpenCourseWare courses (below) for MOOCit France to begin 'migrating' onto the upcoming WUaS Open edX platform, which you'll host, - as free-to-students' for-credit WUaS courses. We mentioned exploring 7-8 week long courses, with initially 30 minutes to an hour of studying per week - with discussion. Would this involve splitting the 15-16 week long MIT OCW courses in half? You also mentioned, I think, showing World Univ & Sch how we could do this for ourselves - and potentially so that our graduate student instructors could create their own courses, for example - and eventually in many languages, including especially in French.

Here's the enjoyable edX HarvardX JuryX course I mentioned taking in 2016,  "JuryX: Deliberations for Social Change" - https://www.edx.org/course/juryx-deliberations-for-social-change, taught by Harvard Law Emeritus Professor Charles Nesson, and regarding the 'threads,' or asynchronous discussion, information technologies, as well as being engaging for students, and even using early VR for some jury decision-making case studies (about which I've blogged http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2015/03/red-eared-guenon-harvard-law-professor.html and http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2015/03/red-eared-guenon-harvard-law-professor.html).

I'm seeking, if at all possible, to email these 3-4 new courses, on the upcoming WUaS Open edX platform, out with the World Univ & Sch Minutes from our open WUaS Monthly Business Meeting on Sat. July 18, 2020 (https://worlduniversityandschool.blogspot.com/2020/07/sat-71820-open-world-university-and.html). I'm writing to inquire when you think I might be able to email out this new WUaS Open edX platform, and the links to these 3-4 WUaS courses, for our WUaS prospective students to begin studying around September 1, 2020 even? World Univ & Sch students would be taking these courses toward free-to-students' best STEM CC-4 OCW licensing (in CA) and accrediting Bachelor's degrees (at first).

Thank you so much!

Best regards, Scott

Bonjour Yvain,

Very nice to talk to you in Paris just now. As a starting point, here are some courses in World Univ & Sch's majors - worlduniversityandschool.org - to explore migrating or adapting to the Open edX platform at WUaS with MOOCit France:

English literature:
Introduction to Fiction

General Science:
Scientific Visualization across Disciplines: A Critical Introduction

General Engineering:
Lego Robotics

History:

WUaS is seeking to link these new WUaS Open edX courses also to their corresponding wiki subjects here - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Subjects (and eventually in many languages).

Thoughts, questions, ideas, suggestions? Merci beaucoup.

Best regards, Scott
