“New technologies now make it possible to make advanced education available worldwide, online, to students who don’t have access to universities,” declares Scott MacLeod, founder and president of World University and School. “Creative Commons' licensed World University and School plans to offer free, online, bachelor, Ph.D., law, and M.D. degrees beginning in 2014, accrediting on MIT OpenCourseWare, while WUaS remains, at the same time, an open wiki (editable web pages) school for people-to-people teaching and learning.”
