Banyan: Minutes for Sat. 18 January 2020 WUaS Monthly Business Meeting

Minutes for Saturday January 18, 2020
World University and School / WUaS
Monthly Business Meeting

Minutes:

Present:
-       Larry Viehland (World Univ and Sch Board Chair, and CFO)
-       Scott MacLeod (President, CEO, Professor, Founder, Presiding Clerk +)

(Agenda & News for 1/220/20:

Minute 1

World Univ & Sch will email Lee and Anant at edX on Tuesday, 21 January 2020 re
A) WUaS seeking to become a member ($500) of edX
B) edX course links - eg https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/English_Literature (re prospective student in India's planned major)
C) student information (and re WUaS licensing with CA's BPPE and then accrediting)

WUaS is afraid the prospective student in India who needs to start very soon is going to walk, if WUaS doesn’t get something to him soon

(and thus separate the 2 issues of 1) membership, and 2) sustainability re the Pi digital cryptocurrency, and related coding questions, which Lee and I talked about on 18 December 2020).

Minute 2

World Univ & Sch is publishing the WUaS PayPal donation link here - https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=86ACG3JUH973A&source=url - newly in the Minutes.

World Univ & Sch lost a donation just at the close of 2019, due to the World University and School web site - http://worlduniversityandschool.org/ - having been hacked, and with no PayPal donation button or other donation online methods available.

As per recent WUaS Agenda and News, here's the physical address for WUaS donations:

Your contributions to 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt World Univ & Sch are very welcome.
Please send checks to:
World University & School, PO Box 442, Canyon, California 94516

Minute 3

WUaS continues to seek the initial $5000 to begin licensing with the state of CA's Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education

Minute 4

While CC-4 MIT OCW-centric World University and School degrees will be free to students due to the CC-4 licensing, WUaS will seek reimbursement per student per year from departments of education in all ~200 countries.

Minute 5

World Univ & Sch seeks to develop Avatar Bot Electronic Health Records and potentially in all ~200 countries' official and main languages, and then for speakers of all 7,111 known living languages, and then, conceptually, for all 7.5 billion people. WUaS would seek to make these available to medical systems in the US and around the world as well.
