A software engineer by trade but an architectural historian at heart, after 8 years of relentless research, traveling, and digging through archives, he’s officially released his first book:

“Skoda Works Tehran” in collaboration with the Czech Ministry of Culture and Books & Pipes of Brno

This is the first volume in a groundbreaking series called:
 “Before the Fall: The Architecture of Imperial Iran” (1925-1979)

For the first time, it tells the untold story of the Czechoslovakian architects and engineers who helped shape Reza Shah’s modern Iran (1925–1941). While history remembers the British, French, and Germans, it was actually Skoda Works of Plzen that built much of the country’s industrial and architectural foundation.

He’s poured his heart into this recovering a lost legacy, obtaining thousands of documents, conducting interviews, and piecing together stories that had been buried for nearly a century.

Future volumes will explore:
 • Aryashahr: The Soviet-Iranian Experience
 • The Scandinavians and the Trans-Iranian Railway
 • The British and the Architecture of Abadan

He recently had the opportunity to present his book/findings at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, bringing light to forgotten architects like Czihal and Suva the true fathers of Modern Iranian Architecture.
