Greetings from the SF Bay Area, in Bafoussam, Cameroon, Africa!

Thank you for your email too (in the Ukraine and Russia thread), and for your inquiry about getting work with World University and School but at Google if you get the Certificate of Completion for finishing CC-4 licensed "CS First with Google at World Univ & Sch' course learning the Scratch programming language.

I'd suggest you get in touch with Google about this but I'm also going to ask Google how they do handle working with interns or other people who might be interested in a similar work experience.

That written, Work World University and School is also seeking to hire potentially 2.3 million people, in all 7,139 living languages, and in all ~200 countries, and with WUaS students doing a kind of 'work study' program (like at Reed College where I was). But WUaS also will seek to offer this work study program only to students who matriculate at WUaS and commit to full time ... This would entail studying for 30 credit units per year ,or 10 CC4 MIT OCW-CENTRIC WORLD UNIV AND SCH courses in hopefully a CC-4 licensed CSFirst with Google course template. This would be 3 courses per 4 month term = 9 courses, plus 1 more = 10 courses per year, each year, over 4 years. So students may be committing to 40-80 hours per week for this work study program - and think matriculating at MIT itself but in a brand new way online and at WUaS.

And WUaS would also need to be getting reimbursement for the WUaS matriculating Cameroon Africa students besides yourself. If Google already has an arrangement - re your electrical comment - with the Cameroonian government, then perhaps Work World University and School could communicate with the same Cameroon govt representatives. 

Are you interested in committing to becoming such a full time student, and ramping up further in a sense, Mwende?

Besides what Google might share idea-wise for their interns (and please do explore applying for a job with Google, if you can find their website for this - and let me know it's whereabouts) ... I could see a lot of opportunity, Mwende, in your possibly reaching out to fellow high achieving Cameroonian students, and bringing in tons of students to study for free-to-students' WUaS degrees. 

(WUaS still hasn't heard anything whatsoever about an emerging new CC-4 licensed "Python language learning with Spike Prime Robotics' kits" course that WUaS would like to create ... so some of these questions may also get deferred to September 1, 2022, as WUaS figures out, conceptually, how to add MIT OCW courses to a kind of MOOC template such CC-4 licensed "CS First withGoogle ... so please stay tuned for all of this as it unfolds).

Perhaps WUaS can attract many full time BSc students from Cameroon if we can offer a good 'work study' program with a full time commitment. What do you think?

Thanks for your feedback.

I am willing to:
1. Work for WUaS.
2. Take those 10 courses per year.
3. Work with Google.

I want to work with both WUaS and Google to make the most of what I can make. The conditions here in Cameroon are not the best so making some that income will go a long way in helping me provide for myself and family.

I am ready to put in the efforts and I am convinced that it is going to yield very good results.

I have covered 75% of CS First already and it has been nothing but fun till today.

Thanks for your email again just now - and your interest in getting a job with Google if you complete your "CS First with Google at WUaS" course, and get a certificate of completion regarding learning the Scratch programming language. 

Your working for Google makes much more sense than working for WUaS at the moment, and I can inquire with them, but WUaS doesn't have a relationship with them. Nevertheless, WUaS asking on your behalf may help further develop a possible WUaS relationship with Google. But while WUaS is seeking to get help organizing our WUaS 'work study,' I encourage you to reach out to Google yourself, since I am 99.9% sure that WUaS won't be able to get you a job at Google, Mwende, since we have no legal or contractual arrangements with Google, for example. 

I just searched on "Is Google hiring paid interns, having received a certificate of completion from CS First with Google ?" and found this Google internship page - https://careers.google.com/stories/google-internship-faqs/. Please investigate further if you find an open position and you'd like to apply for a position at Google

I search google's internships and found a number of them but;

With this one, Japanese is a compulsory language since that is the language in which lessons are taught. 
However, I do not communicate in Japanese, so I did not apply for it.

This one requires the participants to be located in Ghana for the entire duration of the program. 
I am currently in Cameroon not Ghana which means that I am not going to apply for it too.

This one is for people located in Korea.
I am not in Korea as of now so, this means there is no point in applying for this too.

This one is for MBA students and it's in China hence I am not eligible.

It is said that the working locations are to be selected from among; New Taipei, Banqiao District, New Taipei City, Taiwan; Taipei, Taiwan.

The participants of this are expected to be located in Taiwan.

I want to apply for this but I need a transcript even if it is unofficial. Can you please create one for me? This will certify that I am currently enrolled with WUaS.

as you seek to matriculate at WUaS.

Glad too you are thinking of commiting to be a full time student with Work World University and School, studying 10 MIT OCW-CENTRIC courses per year, as well as a work study program potentially for 10 hours per week during the 4 month terms.

I wondered months ago after asking for your transcripts  on behalf of WUAS why you didn't send it in. As you know, and as we've communicated before, you'll build your transcript at Work World University and School in the future. Please email your high school principal and ask for help with your transcript, to build it newly if necessary, and even for your high school diploma. If your high school could begin to develop your transcript and on the Google platform, that would be great. 

As you may have read, WUaS is seeking thousands of Cameroonians to matriculate at WUaS and will be interested in receiving their transcripts too. This is an amazing opportunity for you to even develop a transcript system in Cameroon Africa with the department of education beyond your high school, if it doesn't exist already. If you complete the CS First with Google at World University and School course, WUaS can use this as a basis for your matriculating.

Because WUaS doesn't have any academic experience with you, I encourage you to reach out to your high school for your transcript and recommendations and portfolio too.

WUaS can further bring this question to the open WUaS Monthly Business Meeting, on 3/19/22 (and Larry and I are the Academic Officers - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/World_University_Foundation) but will probably take a Google internship approach per the link above.

The last school I attended was University of the People which is also an Online University with its main office based in U.S.A.

However in 2021, I was not consistent with classes due to the crises but I had completed three courses, viz;
1. Online Education.
2. Programming Fundamentals.
3. Introduction to Python Programming.

However, due to the inconsistencies in internet connection at that time (as a result of the crises), I was expelled, which is when I contacted you to continue with WUaS since it is a bit more flexible.

The main issue here is that even if I am to provide that transcript, I also need one from WUaS since this is the school with which Google is going to identify me.

I suggest you send your signature and stamp in word or pdf format which I am going to use to produce the transcript.

One way to create a kind of de facto transcript is to begin with a LinkedIn profile, e.g. - https://www.linkedin.com/in/claudia-viehland-73189046/ and https://www.linkedin.com/in/scottgkmacleod/. While I doubt Google would accept this for an internship job application, you could probably list the courses you began at UoP, as well as your high school diploma, and related potential transcripts. At the same time, consider beginning a CV (and here's an example of mine from GDocs) regarding what might emerge from your next 4 years at MIT OCW-centric wiki World University and School. 

And as you consider the following project while further proceeding with CS First with Google at WUaS, please keep in mind creating a coding sample for upcoming job applications, per the Google internship page too (https://careers.google.com/stories/google-internship-faqs/), which can be a very creative and innovative and programming thinking exploration -

Attached to this email is my transcript from the University of the People.

Like I earlier stated, the courses which are Labelled W and F are courses which I registered but did not attend classes due to the crises (very challenging conditions). The school's rule was that if you are not active for 6months or more, you are automatically expelled because I wrote you before the time which I had planned to write you.

The point about a WUaS transcript is because this is where I identify as a student since I am not a student of the UoPeople this current year.

What I was saying is that, since I identify as a student here and I have done scratch programming, you could issue me a transcript to back that up which I will submit alongside the one attached to this email.

Staying focused on the CS First with Google at WUaS course seems especially important here, since it appears you haven't completed the UotP courses. We're basically one species, with one biology and one set of complex pathways of how things go wrong (ie, disease), though why individuals go down different pathways (and have biases in different locations) goes to all this diversity.


I think in genetics it can be all too lazy to sort of imply this last reason is the most important - I just don't think it is - our biology just doesn't work this way. In fact, the first reason (environment and social environment) is far more important overall.
