Part of the idea with the WUaS Academic Medical Center is to create a physical-digital, actual-virtual STEM ethnographic field site near Canyon, with parallels to my Actual-Virtual Harbin Hot Springs' field site project - and to create further remarkable ways (satellites, smartphones, #FilmTo3D into Google Street View with time slider, and for archaeology and geology too) to digitize physical field sites, for subsequent developing research, and for the conversation between the two.

And for ethno-wiki-virtual-world-graphy too ...

[CamPhilEvents] Measurement Therapy this Friday

Dear all,

The Measurement Therapy group will meet again this Friday at 11am. The meeting will take place at 1 Newnham Terrace, which can be found on google maps and is adjacent to the Darwin College parking lot, with the seminar room on the first floor. After Aditya’s fantastic presentation last week, we will discuss two canonical but short papers in the HPS of measurement: 


(i)                  Bradburn, Cartwright, Fuller: A Theory of Measurement (2017)

(ii)                Porter, Making Things Quantitative (1994)


The readings will be distributed to everyone through the new mailing list (see below). The reading-focussed format is a short interjection – aiming to build a common language across disciplinary backgrounds – before we return to discussing our own work.

We kindly ask everyone who is interested in joining our group to briefly respond to this message so that we can create a mailing list. Please do so even if (a) you have already attended the first meetings or (b) will not be able to attend this Friday’s meeting.

As MD avatar bots for MD psychiatry emerge - in something like a realistic virtual earth for avatar bots (#RealisticVirtualEarthForAvatarBots), with virtual Physical-Digital Medical Doctors and MD Psychiatrists as well, for ex. -  measurements of talk therapy too will develop significantly with AI and machine learning, and even with data developing into #AvatarBotElectronicMedicalRecords in, for example, World Univ & Sch's planned online ~200 Medical Schools, and related ~200 online teaching hospitals (in major online universities in all ~200 countries - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Nation_States - and in their main languages - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Languages). A bit Lacanian-oriented in my thinking, the limitations of measuring language regarding 'talk therapy', and further regarding heteroglossia, polysemy, and the idea that "the unconscious is structured like a language" are not insignificant. Greetings from the SF Bay Area, on the way to getting the WUaS Minutes for 2/19/22 done, and big thanks to Larry for our having done the WUaS Corporation taxes together, and sent in a $800 check to the CA FTB, ON Friday. 

I'm wondering if I'll possibly come into a house-let in Canyon today, after further legal systems' processes, and if somehow Ed and CA Gov Gavin communicate with one another and others, thus possibly solving an old problem - mentally ill former landlord t.w. and separating this potential criminal from Canyon, and it's 'cleaning up' - for California, and the federal government, and perhaps for some other countries' governments, even, internationally; And be able to give notice to this unsafe house north of Berkeley too, esp ...
