Hi B and C,

I saw the well-done film "The Impossible" yesterday evening at Harbin (and finished the 9 draft chapters of my actual / virtual Harbin ethnography, and first of possibly five volumes, last week!) about a Tsunami that hits Thailand in 2004, - a true story - and what a British family of 5 with young kids on vacation there does after it gets separated in the melee, and thought of you and WUaS.

The woman in the film is a M.D. and she gets physically injured the most from the storm (which will probably increase in severity and in numbers with global warming climate change, although this Tsunami was caused by a tectonic shift and, tragically, around 225,000 people died in real life), and has to undergo surgery in a Thai hospital. Eventually the family is reunited and she is flown off for better medical care in Singapore. Re WUaS, how might WUaS's online Medical School and Hospital in all languages and countries, have been a help, as well as how would even some sort of smart phones, for example, on each of the 5 family members, and indeed everyone (for medical and emergency reasons) with long-life batteries have helped reunite this family in the chaos from the storm?

Have you seen this film? And have you explored medicine in Thailand, as well as how medicine, country by country, can improve through sharing of ideas, and in emergency situations?

The film is worth seeing in a variety of ways. If you haven't seen it, let's perhaps see it or similar together sometime in the near future.

WUaS still hasn't become financially operational, to begin to pay people, for example, to do outreach to our first high school applicants this fall, but it looks like we just got the green light yesterday and the day before from the state of California (BPPE) for state approval, which then will allow us to begin to accredit, and add this important - "MIT-centric WUaS is accrediting with the same organization that Stanford and UC Berkeley is accredited with" - information in our outreach to high school students.

And WUaS, as you know, I think, in seeking to become the MIT / Harvard of the Internet, is planning an online Medical School (http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/World_University_Medical_School) and Hospital (http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Hospital) in all or most languages (http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Languages) and most countries (http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Nation_States).

Hope you're well. :)

Cheers,
Scott
