Katmai National Park and Preserve: What is Non-theistically Friendly/Quakerly meditation for you (speaking from one's own experience)? * * * Found these Revolutionary Lemon @revolemonary Scratch examples really edifying * * * Thanks to Peter Norvig in FB for replying to me - "Hi Peter, Is it possible to identify mountains in photos like this one (in a particular photo he had posted) with AI at this point?," Peter Norvig: "Sure. Here's an article: https://www.guidingtech.com/find-location-from-photo/" - "Thanks so much, Peter. Tried all 6 of the options, but they didn't identify Mt. Katmai in Alaska yet" (seems like the URLs had been stripped of geolocation data), - so this is a work in progress, I think, with much potential (and fascinating to see how Peter thinks re next steps) * * * And a friend from Cuttyhunk Island, MA, shared drone photography of Martha's Vineyard in February ... Best Drones w/ HD Camera - Great for traveling around world, & then streaming into #RealisticVirtualEarth (thinking Google Streetview with TIME SLIDER+) for later, "Up Drone!" * * * Besides developing CC-4 OCW-centric @WorldUnivAndSch & a #RealisticVirtualEarth as STEM field site & class rooms (think Google Streetview + TIME SLIDER+ for everything), I have an actual-virtual, physical-digital Harbin Hot Springs' ethnographic focus

If we proceed with our NtF video conference meeting next week, I'm interested in gaining clarity about our queries for this conversation. I wonder if the following is what we each might speak to:

What is Non-theistically Friendly/Quakerly meditation for you (speaking from one's own experience)?

And what is NtF Quaker meeting, as one might envision this, and with regard to meditation, for you (speaking from one's own experience)?

Please ask other questions if some come to mind in the meantime.

Friendly regards,
Scott

I might add the following, which is a variation on what you have:

Barclay and other early Friends described meeting for worship as silent waiting on God, and being ready to be led by God's Spirit.  How does this translate in the absence of a belief in God?

Thanks to Peter Norvig in FB for replying to me -

Scott MacLeod:
Hi Peter, Is it possible to identify mountains in photos like this one (in a particular photo he had posted) with AI at this point? Regards, Scott MacLeod

Peter Norvig:

Scott MacLeod:
Thanks so much, Peter. Tried all 6 of the options, but they didn't identify Mt. Katmai in Alaska yet (seems like these two links/URLs - FB and SmugMug - to your photo had been stripped of geolocation data - so this is a work in progress, I think, with much potential (and fascinating to see how Peter thinks re next steps)). Thanks for the info below.

Scott MacLeod:
Went to the 5th URL here - https://www.guidingtech.com/find-location-from-photo/ - that is - https://whereisthepicture.com/ - and with your SmugMug photo photo of Mt. Katmai  - that is - https://pn.smugmug.com/Nature/Katmai-Alaska-Bears-2017/i-cQhbJ8V (from: https://pn.smugmug.com/Nature/Katmai-Alaska-Bears-2017/) - “Mountain in Alaska in SmugMug taken by Peter Norvig 2017” - and 'geotagged" the picture 'by eye' using Google Maps for reference. It's amazing what you and Google and all have done with such mapping programs (and so efficiently with AI). Thank you.

In heralding a realistic virtual earth to which we can all add to - via ethno-wiki-virtual-world-graphy - I hope this realistic virtual earth (think Google Streetview with time slider / Earth / Tensorflow) will become a kind of digital GROUND TRUTH from which to piece together, with machine learning, imaging of mountains, for ex., from any angle and perspective - with which to further increase the potential to identify them.

And a friend from Cuttyhunk Island, MA, shared drone photography of Martha's Vineyard in February ...

Amusing and interesting: "When asked how he got into drone photography he says, “I have the emotional brain of a 4 year old and it seemed like a really cool thing to do!!! I have a child-like curiosity and wanted to see Martha’s Vineyard from an entirely new perspective. I also like to play with cool toys!! .”" http://vineyardstyle.com/marthas-vineyard-archive.php/282/Above-It-All ...

"Up Drone!" - fly, fly, fly camera drone - like a falcon - to St. Kilda / Hirta in Scotland, from the mainland to take a picture of the row of houses - what has been called the St. Kilda parliament in 2020 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Kilda,_Scotland) ...

St. Kilda is an UNESCO World Heritage Site ...

"Up Drone Camera!" - fly, fly, fly camera drone around the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Turkey re archaeology in a realistic virtual earth questions (eg. around all 46 layers of Troy - https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/849 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troy or around Çatalhöyük - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Çatalhöyük) ... or on my trip there as a tourist, or re tourists' drone imaging contributions to a realistic virtual earth.

"Up Drone Camera!" - fly, fly, fly camera drone all the way around the main Mt. Katmai volcanic dome in Alaska and video the whole, streaming it into Google earth for further mountain identification. :)

Glad to hear Sunheart's recent 'voice' (from Harbin Hot Springs) re this

"What is the meaning of work" video -  https://www.ted.com/talks/roy_bahat_and_bryn_freedman_what_is_the_meaning_of_work :

Scott MacLeod:

Thanks SunheartSunheart Sunheart Roy; [although speaking in a hyper-delivery of answers]; mentions "stability" as the #1 priority [ for AI-shifting, of the western economy]; he hints at guaranteed minimum income, [but not specifically for the ' under $150,000 majority]; ... the next "future value' mentioned is: " dignity" vis.a.vis ' personal self-worth & feeling inclusively connected with a greater-group [ of values & social ethics] ... Finding "meaning " as the definition of post-industrial "work" devolves into a new paradigm of social order world-wide.🧐🤓😏🤔🤭🤗 ...
