MacLeods' family history on the island of Raasay, Scotland, with DNA

How are you? How was your trip? How was Scotland and the island of Raasay? What Genealogy findings did you make? Or are you still there and having fun doing Genealogy while on the road? :)
Am seeking Asylum in Pittsburgh PA and having whistle blown quite loudly about the SF QUAKER MEETING, Stanford, UC Berkeley Law and instructor w k as well as about UC BERKELEY's nelson gr and Tourism Stuff, about Canyon and Harbin Hot Springs and Reed College too ... And the illegal drug and sex industries internationally and their latent networks of violence. Still alive, am glad to have made this abolition journey to the east coast of the country and back to Pittsburgh. Have found a place to live, and who knows but perhaps I'll meet a friend and life partner and Mom to be (and even at the Shady Side Academy senior school Homecoming on the weekend of 10/15).

Glad that the WUaS 3 legal entities, as a 501 C and 2 in CA, one a for profit general stock company, are coming full circle. In fleeing for my life from California on August 1, I put things from Canyon 94516 and the unsafe house north of Berkeley, in storage, and will fly out to get the things on M September 26 and begin driving a Budget Van or U-Haul back potentially that same day to Pgh, after submitting a forwarding request to the WUAS POB 442 Canyon 94516 United States Postal Service Post Office, and doing a few other things I'm a whirlwind turnaround.

It's good to hear from you. I'm glad you are feeling safe in Pittsburgh! Just before leaving for Raasay, your mother stopped by our house in Portland Maine. It was great to see her. She seems well.
I just got back from Raasay yesterday. It was a fantastic trip. I was on Raasay for 5 days and the weather was perfect! Hardly a drop of rain. I hiked over 40 miles of this stunningly beautiful and largely de-populated island that had very, very few visitors. By contrast, the Isle of Skye next door seemed overcrowded with visitors.
Besides visiting 2 graveyards, there's not really a way to do genealogical research on Raasay. There is no library, info center, records office, etc. I gave a presentation on my research at the community hall and talked with a few local folks. I'm sure I learned some things but nothing that would change or significantly influence my conclusions.
I'll post some pictures soon, and I plan to record my presentation and upload it to the web.

Glad you had a fantastic trip to Scotland and Raasay and Skye for MacLeod Genealogy. Thank you for sharing this too with me. Sounds like a very great time. Did you have internet access from Raasay or Skye, in some hotels, but not others - and regarding online Genealogy tools apart from what might be possible to glean in some situations from cemeteries, communication with people who live there, in Churches' baptism records (which my father found information from in Banquet Hill Ireland years' ago) or libraries, and Regarding possibly even sampling on the ground people's DNA while traveling?
I didn't know my mother was in Maine right before you went to Scotland. I haven't communicated with her since I left the SF Bay Area on August 1, whereas we were talking nearly every other day before this.
I'm still concerned about my father's head injury in Belize, Sandy and Peg Parker too. And in my and WUAS calling for abolition of the illegal drug and sex industries internationally and their latent networks of violence, and Regarding this abolition journey across the country, I continue to be concerned about this on Cuttyhunk too. Could my father's 2 head injuries, 1 in Belize, the other a so called spontaneous subdural hematoma developing in Pittsburgh ... have emerged decision-making wise from Pittsburgh PA and possibly Portland Maine (and wrongfully, and somehow related to the illegal buying and selling of people even?) ... since I think my father's last decade was challenging to be with. Because of my father's head injuries and his thinking, am curious how best to navigate these questions in Pittsburgh PA and possibly regarding abolition movement thinking.

Thanks again for your Scotland family Genealogy news.

Very glad too to have met my mother, after very little communication since August 1, for lunch today, in a different nicer place than we had been planning re navigating Pittsburgh PA & its possible latent networks of violence and Regarding the illegal drug and sex industries internationally and my and WUaS calling for abolition. My mother suggested keeping open to moving back into Canyon 94516 again ... Interestingly ... She doesn't like the winter in Pittsburgh at all, - and there are 3 dwellings in the 670 Ridgecrest Rd Canyon place for example ... If we're going to live way past 122 yo and for centuries even... it could be good to have a nice home on 1.5 acres on a ridge in East Bay MUD forested lands, clean and natural, 5 miles FROM Berkeley and close to SF... And where East Bay MUD lands are basically 17 x 17 miles squared of forest, ranch land, utilities, reservoirs and some towns too. My mother is doing well and as a 87 yo... Seeking those aging reversal genetic drug therapies emerging and longevity genetic engineering revolution drug therapies sooner than later and tested and FDA approved for humans, and Genealogists! :)
Maybe I'll find a life partner and friend to begin a family in Pittsburgh where there are many eligible attractive women (at my high school's Homecoming on 10/14 15 16 and a MD with Some Scottish background who graduated from Shady Side Academy senior school just 7 years ago?)
Scotland is on my mind too ... Working on my 2nd Scottish Small Pipes' album this one of Piobaireachd classical bagpiping music... Hopefully to record in November... http://

Very instructive, and helpful documentation of your research into MacLeods of Raasay, and particularly DNA test related. Thanks so much for sharing.
As an academic who's developing ocw.mit.edu -centric Wiki World University and School and potentially a realistic virtual earth for genetics too, am curious how DNA evidence will evolve for Genealogy, and such narratives as yours here iterate.
Appreciating your western accent interestingly, perhaps from your time in Texas and California (?).
