Dear Mr. Tran, all,
Greetings, and how are you? I just responded to the Toyota feedback email:

"Thanks for doing the 5000 mile "Maintenance Required Soon" quite quickly this time, Magnussen's Toyota Palo Alto. And thanks Alex Ramirez for the quote quote for the damaged driver's side mirror by someone who left this note "Austin Thompson Honda Pilot state farm 524 6423 DOS 05b" on my windshield in Berkeley on M 8/25/25; State Farm has let me know they're processing it. (And no indication this time at Magnussen's Toyota Palo Alto of international organized crime operating in the background by Toyota Palo Alto employees even & tragically ... as I've wondered about a number of times recently ... and in having sought US federal protection for my mother, brother, both on the eastern seaboard of the USA, and myself). Dear Arri at
statefarmclaims@statefarm.com at State Farm auto Insurance ... AND Mr. Dich Tran, and Mr. Alex Ramirez (my last Toyota PA service representative), all,
Greetings. Thanks Mr Dich Tran for your email afternoon (in the PPS) encouraging me to follow up with State Farm Insurance regarding the damaged driver's side mirror on my leased 2025 Toyota Sienna (which I leased on March 4, 2025) ... and thanks Mr. Alex Ramirez (my last Toyota PA service representative) for the Toyota Palo Alto estimate on paper I got for this and sent into State Farm Insurance website and via email (a picture of which I've attached below for $826.08.
And thanks Arri at
statefarmclaims@statefarm.com just now for saying, I think, that State Farm Insurance can only pay for this driver's side mirror repair after I send in photos for a State Farm estimate, since Toyota Palo Alto isn't a State Farm approved repair shop. Apparently, State Farm will send out the money for the repair after they receive the Photos and make their estimate, directly to me ... But I'm seeking for you Toyota Palo Alto and State Farm Insurance to come into communication with each other to reconcile the possible difference between the Toyota Palo Alto estimate of $826.08 and the possible State Farm estimate ... before State Farm were to send out any possible payment for this.
Glad I sought US federal protection for my mother, my brother and myself many months ago in these regards.
Mr Dich Tran and Mr Alex Ramirez, how would you suggest handling this situation (since I don't want to be out of pocket any difference between the Toyota Palo Alto estimate of $826.08, and the possible State Farm photo-based estimate if I send in photos to State Farm ... with an "Austin Thompson Honda Pilot state farm 524 6423 DOS 05b" having damaged my driver's side mirror on M Aug 25, 2025 and left his state farm insurance number 524 6423 DOS 05b) ... and yet I want the car to be in near-perfect condition when the 3 year lease is up in 2028?
You'll find the Toyota Palo Alto estimate for $800 and the State Farm Insurance email saying they received this estimate below in the PS.
Perhaps this is an opportunity for Toyota Palo Alto to become an approved State Farm auto insurance repair shop.
Thanks, best,
(Scott) Gordon MacLeod

Dear State Farm Claims,
Greetings.
Regarding Claim Number: 05-90H1-95K
Date of Incident: 08/25/2025
Here attached is a photo of the estimate for 826.08 which I received from Magnessens's Toyota Palo Alto this morning Tu 9/16/25 for the broken driver's side mirror on my 2025 Toyota Sienna.
Toyota Palo Alto suggested that I send the estimate to you, potentially get the money as a claim on Austin Thompson's State Farm insurance policy number the driver who damaged the mirror left this note on the windshield -
"Austin Thompson Honda Pilot state farm 524 6423 DOS 05b"
- and then once I have gotten the money from State Farm to bring the 2025 Toyota Sienna into Toyota Palo Alto for repair.
Please advise further.
Thanks,
Gordon MacLeod

Arri at State Farm Claims on the phone said definitively just now State Farm could only proceed in sending me the money ... if I sent in photos and got an approved estimate from State Farm Insurance from these photos, potentially different from the Toyota Palo Alto estimate of $826.08. But I'm wondering if they could set up an Approved Repair and Estimate shop relationship with Toyota Palo Alto. What are the chances that Toyota Palo Alto could become an approved State Farm repair place - in some ? (I also had wondered if I could wait while it got repaired too, such that I wouldn't need a loaner car from Toyota Palo Alto ... but perhaps not per your email).
3
Also, sadly, someone else hit this 2025 Toyota Sienna and, their fault, caused a fender bender on the front left side of the bumper/fender, a 12-15 inch scrape, and who has AAA car insurance, and I've filed a claim with AAA and will be in further communication with them soon. I may seek to get a repair estimate from Toyota Palo Alto in these regards too (and it would be great if both damages could be repaired at the same time ... re while I wait too ... but how would this work if I got a loaner car for both of these incidents of car-damage?). And when I call AAA Claims Adjuster Mark Fiore soon (about Friederike Droegemueller hitting my car on Alameda island a few days ago, there may be a similar issue with getting an approved AAA car insurance estimate. Is Toyota Palo Alto an approved AAA car insurance estimate place?

Mr Tran, Arri and State Farm Claims, US Senator and former Harvard Law Professor Elizabeth Warren, All, ... how best to proceed with this complex of insurance claims and getting my great 2025 Toyota Sienna repaired please.
Thanks, Friendly Quaker greetings, best wishes,

Dear Mr Tran, ARRI and State Farm Claims (regarding my Sienna's damaged driver's side mirror by an 'austin thompson' who left his state farm insurance policy # 524 6423 DOS 05b on my windshield, after his car damaged my car's driver's side mirror on M 8/25/25 - and STATE FARM, Arri, requiring a State Farm Insurance approved repair shop estimate, having already sent you a week ago an estimate from Toyota Palo Alto for 826.04 a week ago), US Senator and former Harvard Law Professor Elizabeth Warren, (and Mark Fiore at AAA car insurance claims - regarding the different damaged front left bumper claim, and getting a Toyota Palo Alto estimate potentially tomorrow, and after you Mark Fiore have added Toyota Palo Alto to AAA's network of repair shops), All,
Greetings. How best to proceed with getting both the damaged front left fender / bumper paid for by the AAA claim, and the damaged driver's side mirror potentially covered by Austin Thompson' state farm insurance policy # 524 6423 DOS 05b per the estimate from Toyota Palo Alto for $826.08 (or similar???) - AT THE SAME TIME so that I could potentially use the Enterprise Rental Car from AAA insurance while I get the front fender repaired, (AND at the same time get the driver's side mirror repaired)?
Arri and State Farm Claims, how best might you be able to make Toyota Palo Alto part of your approved repair shops' network ... and get an estimate directly from Toyota Palo Alto, possibly different from the Toyota Palo Alto $826.08 estimate on paper as an attachment in the last email?
This is Dich Tran's email address at Toyota Palo Alto
and this is Arri and State Farms' Claims' email address -
And could you please communicate with each other, potentially before I bring the 2025 Toyota Sienna in for a possible in-State-Farm-repair-networks' estimate from Toyota Palo Alto tomorrow Friday Sep 25, 2025 in the midday?
Thanks,
(Scott) Gordon MacLeod

Thanks for talking again just now, and about 2 hours ago, regarding this 1006-41-8773 claim, and front bumper repair on my leased 2025 Toyota Sienna.
What please is the AAA confirmation number you just mentioned, Mark Fiore, if I need that in bringing my leased 2025 Toyota Sienna to Toyota Palo Alto for an in-AAA-network (per your calling them just now I think) repair estimate from Magnussen's Toyota Palo Alto potentially tomorrow? (By the way, I don't think a loaner car is in the works from Toyota Palo Alto or any other company).
Thanks, and more soon,

subject: | Re: Your 2025 Sienna XLE Woodland AWD Cement |
Dear Mr Tran, and newly State Farm auto Claims' Maria Copeland , and Mr Alex Ramirez (who helped write the initial Toyota Palo Alto estimate of about $800, noting that I had put the mirror cover back on with 1-3 clips being broken underneath, and I had also attached it with duct tape - to get it washed before bringing it in for a 5000 mile "Maintenance Required Soon", and who noted also the dent in what holds the mirror up and possible other damage too), US Senator and former Harvard Law Professor Elizabeth Warren, All,
Thanks for your State Farms' auto Claims' letter just now which I've attached below, Maria Copeland, and in the PS below too. This has been a fairly traumatic Claims' process with State Farm so far, when after talking with Arri earlier today, and observing that an state farm insured austin thompson damaged my mirror left his state farm policy number on my windshield, and that after getting a quote -
"Austin Thompson Honda Pilot state farm 524 6423 DOS 05b"
and sending State Farms' claims a written estimate from Toyota Palo Alto a week ago (and hearing nothing back), State Farms' Arri this morning said I would have to get a state farm estimate ... and where if it was substantially or less than the Toyota Palo Alto estimate, I would lose significant amounts of money because one austin thompson damaged my drivers' side mirror. (And there's no mention of reimbursement for the cost of a car rental when my Sienna's mirror is being repaired either in your letter of Th 9/25/25)
.
Greetings, and as a further followup, AAA's Claim Advisor Mark Fiore just called me back, and has scheduled an in-AAA-repair-network estimate for the damaged front bumper, with your, Toyota Palo Alto's car repair shop he said, nearby at -
Car West Collision
2400 Old Middlefield Way
and I'm planning to head there tomorrow midday to get an estimate. Arri and State Farm Claims and US Senator and former Harvard Law Professor Elizabeth Warren, shall I seek to get an estimate from Car West Collision - and have you been able to get Toyota Palo Alto and its repair shop - into your approved repair shops, at the same time - re the Toyota Palo Alto written estimate for the damaged mirror that I sent in to you State Farm Insurance last week?
As Dich Tran wrote earlier today -
"Hi Macleod,
This should not be out of your pocket, No deductible either.
It should be the one who hit your car.
They should also give you a loaner while the vehicle is fixed.
Thank you very much,
Dich Tran
Sales Associate
Magnussen's Toyota of Palo Alto
Maria Copeland, and State Farm Claims and US Senator and former Harvard Law Professor Elizabeth Warren, and since AAA is willing to cover the cost of a car rental through Enterprise Car Rentals, I think State Farm Claims would save money if it got a 2nd estimate from Car West Collision
2400 Old Middlefield Way, n-est-ce pas?
Given the trauma of this situation with State Farm Claims, AND your informative letter in writing just now Maria Copeland, and State Farm Claims and US Senator and former Harvard Law Professor Elizabeth Warren, I would prefer to keep our communication in writing, and with this group especially, rather than calling you (since I feel especially vulnerable after Arri's unhelpful spoken legalese about getting a State Farms' Claims approved repair shop estimate ).
How best to proceed in these regards, and regarding your letter just now, Maria Copeland, and State Farm Claims, and all ? Thank you Maria Copeland, and State Farm Claims again for your letter just now.
(Scott) Gordon MacLeod
PS
Maria Copeland's State Farms' insurance letter attached, along with again the Toyota Palo Alto written estimate, and see Toyota Palo Alto's Dich Tran's email, regarding -
"This should not be out of your pocket, No deductible either.
It should be the one who hit your car.
They should also give you a loaner while the vehicle is fixed."
- from earlier today as well above.
