Dear Universitians, Mwende, Prasanth, All,

So glad Mwende is enjoying the free-to-students' CC-4 licensed 'Computer Science CS First WithGoogle at World Univ & Sch' -
- and is making headway. So glad too that Mwende is interested in studying for a free online OCW.MIT.EDU-centric Bachelor's degree (4 years) potentially receiving this degree in 2026, AND a PhD, potentially receiving this internship through to 2034 or so.

In about 11 1/2 hours, the next open WUaS News and Q&A meets here - https://us04web.zoom.us/j/71256065918?pwd=37yI17g_msFxmXoNymQtJcc9RcJC-9.1

Please be thinking about how to 'ramp up' to studying CC-4 MIT OCW for 4 years for a free Bachelor's degree, or ~7 years, for a free PhD, ahead in your various majors (eg number of hours in day learning and studying and coding +) ... and with CC-4 MIT OCW potentially as well structured online newly (due to CC-4 licensing attribute 2 "adapting' OCW, potentially in a realistic virtual earth for STEM) as CC-4 "Computer Science CS First with Google at World Univ & Sch", and play-centric in learning ... but with a further remarkable breadth and depth at OCW.MIT.EDU forward too.

'We’re here to support you in 2022'

Plan for the spring semester
CS First is here for you all 2022
Hi WUaS -,
We’re excited to embark on a new year of supporting you as you empower students to expand their computer science knowledge! We know that you've worked extremely hard to help your students pursue their passions — and know that we’ve got your back too.
Get into a groove this semester with resources designed to help you succeed:
See what's possible with CS First
CS First is designed for teachers and accessible for all kinds of classrooms. Whether you’re teaching computer science for the first time or looking to learn even more, our Get Started videos give you a first-hand look at how you can get the most out of the platform.
Watch the videos
Find the right lesson for any subject
Lesson planning is streamlined with the CS First curriculum, which features activities made for every classroom and subject. Whether you're connecting to students through math and science, the arts, or important cultural moments — there are fun and engaging lessons to be taught with CS First.
Explore the curriculum
Apply for the Scratch Education Collaborative
The Scratch Education Collaborative (an initiative funded in part by Google.org) supports educators with the commitment and implementation of equitable creative computing. Sandy MacLeod, Sculptor ~ Sandy ~ Maine College of Art (MECA)?

Hi Sandy and Ma,

How are you? I just noticed that you may still be with the Maine College of Art (MECA), Sandy! (Are you ?) How great to be a part in an ongoing way of a culture of Art and with people - and a college especially. Seems like a way to continue the conversation in making your own beautiful substantial creative sculpture - https://socratessculpturepark.org/artist/sandy-macleod/ - https://mainearts.maine.gov/directory/arts/detail/1096 and liking too your Rockin' here -https://www.hudsoncrossingpark.org/art-in-the-park (and below:). (I'm noticing too that at least 2 of your email addresses have the word sculpture in them and all 3 above are art oriented. :) So great!

What envisioning has lead you to making so much great sculpture in the past, and how could you reengage this vision to create more & further your inspiring art (I wonder)? Am remembering the Desiderata -
"Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time"
(https://www.desiderata.com/desiderata.html) - in these regards too. Work World University and School 'is' eventually seeking a sculptor, both for art, and as teacher - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Sculpture - and also in a realistic virtual earth for Art #RealisticVirtualEarthForArt - https://twitter.com/WorldUnivAndSch/status/1263525317114605568.

Hoping this finds you well, and staying safe and warm this winter in Maine. And nice to see you over Xmas!

Love, Scott

Sandy,

I got a bounce back from the Maine College of Art email address, so perhaps you aren't connected presently with MECA. WUaS ? It could be great to add photos of your art to the Sculpture wiki Subjects' page and in its emerging sculpture garden ...
https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Sculpture ... (And to envision this online sculpture garden further) as we begin to grow this online Art Forest out :)!

Ma, Sandy, All,

There is a very beautiful long low cloud hanging over the SF Bay now with just the peak of Mt Tamalpais, and one other littler peak to the south atop the Marin hills, showing. Very beautiful. Am curious what the name of the little peak of the Marin hills' showing is ... how to use IT to find out? :)

Love, Scott
Not Art, but glad there's a 2nd face-to-face National Science Foundation NSF  "Current and Pending Support" meeting happening this morning soon, and regarding, I hope - http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2022/01/northern-double-collared-sunbird_0643275698.html ...  :)

Yoga, Genetics, Science, Inquiry?

How best could one begin to study scientifically the effects of the 'Meditation Response' and Asana Yoga Poses on genes - and with potentially with Avatar Bot Electronic Medical Records? And similarly how could one begin to study how and why genes, which seek to replicate, inform doing Yoga meditation, and Asana Yoga Poses, too? See, too: https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/replication/ and https://www.genome.gov/genetics-glossary/DNA-Replication as starting places, and even regarding analytical philosophy, and Yoga philosophy . . . - http://www.scottmacleod.com/yoganotations.html ~
