Strawberry Tree: I just created a new Peru World University and School, Chile World University and School, It's easy to create new free wiki universities and schools at WUaS which will grow and grow, and kind of cool too, One Laptop per Child wiki subject at WUaS, OLPC has been popular in Peru, Spanish language at WUaS

Hi Carlos and Javila (and Linda at AFSC and Pablo at 67 Suenos),

Very nice to meet and talk with you today, Carlos, at  American Friends Service Committee in San Francisco, during a WUaS hive meeting space there. I wanted to follow up with you further about online CC MIT OCW-centric World University and School. UC Santa Cruz excellence and alternative-ness seem like good fits with WUaS. I'm sorry I don't speak Spanish.

Here's MIT OpenCourseWare in Spanish -

I just created a new Peru World University and School - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Peru#World_University_and_School_Links - and updated the Chile World University and School - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Chile#World_University_and_School_Links. As a wiki (editable web pages), all of these can be added to, and anyone can create new pages about subjects they love - toward open teaching and learning.

It's easy to create new free wiki universities and schools at WUaS which will grow and grow, and kind of cool too.

Here's the One Laptop per Child wiki subject at WUaS -
http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/One_Laptop_per_Child_-_XO_Laptop_-_%24100_Laptop_-_MIT - for sharing ideas and resources. OLPC has been popular in Peru, I've read, and could provide beginning infrastructure for reaching people with eventually great computers, - and also for MIT OCW WUaS.

And here's the beginning Spanish Language wiki subject - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Spanish_language - but not yet in Spanish. All of the above pages will eventually be in Spanish and in some other languages as well.

Please add to or edit a page if inclined, to explore teaching, or check out a MIT OCW course. What learning resources on the web do you enjoy the most? (I like the Grateful Dead Youtube videos - from which I learn a lot about getting to very enjoyable "space":)

It would be great to stay in touch as WUaS moves to a new wiki and to explore intern executive director possibilities and more as WUaS becomes financially operational.

Looking forward to staying in touch and very nice to meet and talk with you and all today.

Friendly regards,
Scott
