Hi Peter,
Thanks for your email, and good luck with getting your old house ready for sale. One of these years, I hope to come visit Reed with a friend, and kids even ...
Re further Harbin ethnography, Peter, I'd love to talk further with you about my actual / virtual Harbin Hot Springs' project ahead, and even re a realistic virtual Harbin / earth / universe ... and potentially for medicine and an online teaching hospital with clinical care and even surgery eventually (at World Univ & Sch) too - and so much more. Think Google Street View with time slider / Maps / Earth and at the cellular and atomic levels and in all 200 countries and 7,097 living languages ...
Books ahead to write:
a) - 2-3 further volumes of poetry from my blog to date
b) - The making of virtual Harbin Hot Springs as ethnographic field site and for ethno-wiki-virtual-world-graphy.
c) - A comparison of the STEM ethoses of innovation of MIT and Stanford since around 1960, emerging theoretically from the course I teach about the Information Technology revolution (which is somewhat SF Bay Area-centric, but focus it newly on the Media Lab, and perhaps both Computer Science departments).
d) - Further Harbin books, including a new kind of virtual world book generation
e) - a book about the development and growth World University and School and the WUaS Corporation (possibly coming into conversation with David McCullough's "Wright Brothers").

Might you head over to Reed around Saturday, June 9? It would be wonderful to see you.
Best wishes,
Scott

Hi Peter,
Curious how we'll be able to do house remodeling in Google Street View eventually even (https://www.fastcompany.com/3061107/lowes-tangos-with-google-to-help-you-remodel-your-home-in-augmented-reality).
Visit the Harbin Hot Springs' Gate here ~ http://tinyurl.com/p62rpcg (~ https://twitter.com/HarbinBook ~ http://bit.ly/HarbinBook ~) and "walk" down the Harbin road 4 miles to MIddletown, CA, where you can "amble" around the streets there, if interested. Hoping to facilitate this remarkably with ethno-wiki-virtual-world-graphy ... https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/ethno-wiki-virtual-world-graphy.
Four views of Google Street View here - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2018/05/meconopsis-quakers-are-right-we-dont.html - plus more. :)
Warm regards, Scott

Fascinating and innovating explanation of how block chain works, and as proxy for a cryptocurrency ...
Governance and Regulation in the land of Crypto-Securities (as told by CryptoKitties)
featuring founding members, Dieter Shirley and Alex Shih
*
Both 1) the crypto-key that the company holds (this could be a federal government too, for example), which can stop scam actions by users, and
2) the hard cap potential, to balance the infinity-potential of the blockchain and Crypto-Kitty generation (aka Crypto-Securities), so as to be able establish a value for any given Crypto-Securities, should an organization wish to do this ...
3) taxation would be of transaction fee
... all seem to increase in my mind this approach to Crypto-Securities as a potential proxy for what federal banks (in Canada and the USA, for example) might seek to institutionalize, and legally, as Crypto-Currencies.
But with their copyright of the company's own art example, and a legal team to develop ways to support this, what happens with 3D printing ... and even re sharing and remixing (and in a realistic 3D virtual earth, with all the museums and libraries in all the languages ever made, for which we have records, evidence, books and objects)?

In what ways could WUaS Law Schools in all ~200 countries' official languages help code for this in each nation state?
