#PittsburghSymphonyOrchestra Moussa's Adrano & Karen Gomyo 10/7/22

Well, as outreach for World Univ & Sch at the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra yesterday evening, it leaves something to be desired, - and in wearing my kilt and prince Charlie doublet etc., - but as I was walking down the main stairs to leave after the concert, someone on the 1st tier I think above, with long hair (a bit hippy-like in 2022) said, in a Scots' brogue spoken by an American, and a Pittsburgher probably - "hey laddie, why are you wearing your kilt" (or similar) .. and there was an emotive charge in his calling this out to me as if seeing the kilt and kit brought out a kind of rise in him (interestingly:) and he was 'ribbing' me somehow with language, somewhat spontaneously ... And I said "for World University and School outreach" ... and he said, still imitating a Scottish brogue, ... "So you've got a university under your kilt, do you? ..." (or similar:) ... and I said "WorldUniversityandSchool.org" ... but this communication as I walked down the steps was all a little muddled too :)  

But it was a successful form of http://worlduniversityandschool.org/ outreach nevertheless, if only in my writing about this, and possibly blogging and tweeting it too :) 

See you this evening, Kim and Larry, and for the nice wine-tasting potentially, at around 7pm, (but again my mother said some days ago one of her book groups is meeting this evening, which she's attending).

Greetings! Just back from the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra performance last night, in kilt (as World Univ & Sch outreach in a sense, and see below:) too ... Did you go Stephon? I liked the Moussa "Adrano" violin concerto with Karen Gomyo playing exquisitely her 1703 Stradivarius. Not an Allman Bros or Grateful Dead concert from the 1970s :) (seems like there were some technical errors in the trumpet section ... an opportunity for you, Stephon? :)

Maybe all the broken windows are part of Peng Xi Mei's KK Rentals' winter ventilation plans, :) ... and Frederic pointed out asking about the hot water tap in the kitchen sink, which doesn't seem to close properly, and drips a lot, after use (so that I'm not using the hot water there) ... and where warm water for washing dishes can cut the grease, be hygienic, and help with keeping us healthy, in a way that cold water can't.

Not sure (on my end) about a water filter, Frederic, either ... but you could consider getting this one for yourself too - https://www.consumerreports.org/products/water-filters-32980/water-filter-pitchers-200280/brita-rapid-stream-393731/ (still leaving the question of lead filtration on the table) - besides filling up your water bottle at CMU with its filtered water stations.
