San Pedro Beach: Cote d'Ivoire, Africa: Harbin is very much a place for, and of, the people, Unique, diverse and sometimes funky, and often hippy

Harbin is very much a place for, and of, the people .... Harbin folks, especially - which is great ... But 'the people' here at Harbin are unique, diverse and sometimes funky, and often hippy folks from northern California ... Has Harbin come to define its 'the people' in its own way emerging out of its milieu, coming out of the '60s, and as visitors?

In the hot pool room, I saw, coming out of the bust of the woman's head (someone told me this spring that the woman after whom this bust is modeled was 'Tara Strachan' or 'Tara Strong') above the whale spout, flowers that made her look like the 'statue of liberty,' with a kind of palmate frond behind the many other flowers ... kind of wild. :)
