Welcome to Ohio and the Amish family. Hoping you and Chris are having a great time, and good travels, and connecting in a new way, if you haven't been there yet. Learning about cultural thinking processes from a former(?) agricultural community & group, traditional and old-fashioned, now navigating the world of modernity, with the Internet or 'internetity' too, - and the law - by now running something like a bed & breakfast. Too alone here? ... Possibly, but if I could begin traveling to Harbin Hot Springs about weekly for next Ethnographic book and research (and safely, re Harvard networking too) much would change in some ways, physical and travel movement wise too. More circulation might lead to meeting a partner, but it hasn't, to Harbin, in the past .... Spending 3 months a year in Cambridge MA with a good community might open ways to meeting a life partner by contrast.
