Hi Scott,
Italy trip to Naples and Rome (with fast one hour train between them) was excellent - got a chance to speak at 3 universities and an IEEE conference at the Italian National Research Council - with pictures of great Italian scientists from history on the walls. Lots of fun meeting with colleagues (old and new) - all went very well, and now I am back in California trying to catch up - and very backlogged with work! Oh well, the price we pay for travel fun.
A few new ISSIP members signed up - so that is nice.
Sorry I have not communicated with Barret's for many years.
Continuing my tech scouting, including using OpenAI's GPT-3 and also the tool Stable Diffusion - just for fun and learning these free AI tools. Here is a good introduction to these AI tools in the context for the future of AI by Alan D. Thomas - who is perhaps overly optimistic.

Perhaps it makes sense not to register with the Early Bird rate since the rate after this is only about $100 more, and maybe WUaS will somehow have gotten the monies for both the MSCHE conference, for staying in the Marriott (could be much better for networking), - and also for the MSCHE Pre-Application Accreditation fees, with a deadline of Dec 1. 2022.

Thanks so much for the idea to send a test paper mail letter to myself & WUaS at POB 442 Canyon 94516 and after putting in the USPS forwarding request during my whirlwind trip to California from Pgh, and then in seeking asylum in Pgh. I did send the test letter, and while WUaS has received 4 USPS verification letters to the Viehland's house, and the WUaS new Pgh office, the test letter I sent to myself and WUaS at PO Box 442, Canyon 94516 still hasn't arrived to the Viehland's.
