Thanks again for this ECD music-making opportunity Allison ... Seems like we danced ECD some in the 1970s, maybe more than Scottish Country Dancing (in which your older sister Emily - who also went to a Quaker college, like you - was more involved. Would like to travel back in a realistic virtual earth for history together - which we wiki co-create ... adding photos and communication together to stimulate at first if only a single neural firing re memory processes in the brain ...

I am not trying to discourage scientific inquiry, but we should exercise caution before we draw conclusions from preliminary data. To that end, we’ve seen these preliminary results, and we look forward to seeing the final data including long-term outcomes.

Just Texted my mother further -

"Hi Ma, music-making at Allison's yesterday was fun partly because we were playing in harmony, together, and with different musical instruments in tune with each other (compared with the loud GHB) ...This Scottish small pipe becomes almost a chamber music instrument with a drone sound unusually  ... And when I played the "Scots Aire Hornpipe" tune (a favorite) from memory the 2nd time, they started improvising and riffing with this (a first time for me, and it sounded alright from the 'inside' of playing together) ... with much potential on my B flat, and D chanters too :) ... And all my Scottish Small Pipes' light music ceol beag "Honey in the Bag" 2020 album has this potential with these musicians, Allison, Nick & Chuck, and Arthur ... Where I can kind of play lead in these instances for example for one ... https://scottmacleodhoneyinthebagscottishsmallpipesbagpiping.bandcamp.com/ ... ... And I was playing mostly on my A chanter, with drones easily in tune (compared with B flat chanter), on some of these English Country Dancing tunes from the Barnes' ECD books ... SO, WHEN I came back to this abode at 210 East End Ave Pgh 15221 (with water pouring out of the faucet 24 hours later) and began to play the pretty Piobaireachd "Lament for the Children" before bed WITH a good recording for learning -

 - which is in B flat mixolydian here (and playable in tune with my B flat SSP chanter), still on my pretty sounding A chanter, with pretty drones in tune, it was NEITHER harmonious NOR in tune ... Thought I might pick up some rhythmic Piobaireachd elements in the dissonance ... But had to stop playing after the playing the Urlar with the recording  ... choosing not to put in the B flat chanter and retuning my drones too.
