WUaS accrediting with Middle States' Commission on Higher Education continued 


Dear Diana Bonner, President Perfetti at Middle States' Commission on Higher Education, Larry Viehland (accreditation committee for MIT OCW-centric World University and School), All, 

Greetings. I'm writing to ask some questions per your helpful emails. 

Thank you for your emails, and your offer in your first email to "Feel free to contact me with any questions." As Larry Viehland (WUaS Accreditation committee too), and I spoke about this in World Univ & Sch's Monthly Business Meeting on Saturday, Larry Viehland observed that because Middle States' Commission on Higher Education accredits 5 US states and the District of Columbia, (Washington DC) in the USA, that perhaps WUaS becoming licensed in each of the 5 states would be necessary per your second email. 

Diana, President Perfetti, which licensing agency in Pennsylvania does World Univ & Sch go to to get licensed first before completing the Pre-Application to the Middle States' Commission on Higher Education and MSCHE's 5 US states? (Who in Maryland do we go to to get licensed? Who in New York do we go to to get licensed? Who in Delaware do we go to to get licensed? Who in New Jersey do we go to to get licensed?) Is there one licensing agency that WUaS could seek licensing with to handle all 5 US states and Washington DC regarding MSCHE accreditation, potentially for CC-4 licensed MIT OCW-centric wiki World University and School? 

How else please would you suggest meeting the requirements mentioned in your second email, Diana, including that of WUaS awarding "postsecondary degrees or hold(ing) proper legal exemption in accordance with Requirement of Affiliation No.1 and federal regulation 34 CFR §602.28(a)," for World Univ & Sch to be able to apply to complete the Pre-Application to Middle States Commission on Higher Education? 

I haven't been able to find such related licensing agencies or avenues to license either in the MSCHE web site or via Google Searches.Could you please suggest a web site or two to look at as well?

Dear President MacLeod,

 

Thank you for your interest in the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). MSCHE accepts applications for Candidate for Accreditation status from qualified degree-granting institutions offering one or more postsecondary educational programs of at least one academic year in length at the Associate’s or higher level, including those offered via distance education, without regard for geographic boundaries. Institutions that offer only postsecondary certificates, diplomas, or licenses are not eligible for accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. MSCHE does not accredit individual courses or programs but rather the institution (college or university) in its entirety.

To be eligible to apply, an institution must be able to demonstrate that it meets the following Pre-Applicant Minimum Requirements:

  1. The institution must be legally authorized or licensed, from an appropriate governmental organization or agency to operate as a postsecondary educational institution and must award postsecondary degrees or hold proper legal exemption in accordance with Requirement of Affiliation No.1 and federal regulation 34 CFR §602.28(a).
  2. The institution must be in good standing with no current non-compliance, adverse or the equivalent type of action with the state or other accreditors in accordance with federal regulation 34 CFR §602.28(b).
  3. The institution must be operational, with students actively enrolled in its degree programs.
  4. The institution must have a mission statement and related goals that define its purposes within the context of higher education.
  5. The institution must have a governance and administration structure that allows it to have education as its primary purpose and operate as an academic institution with appropriate autonomy.
  6. The institution must have documented financial resources, funding base, and plans for financial development, including those from any related entities (including without limitation systems, religious sponsorship, and corporate ownership) adequate to support its educational purposes and programs and to ensure financial stability.
  7. The institution must review the Certifications and Disclosures Statement and certify that the information provided throughout the application process is accurate, honest, and truthful.

If, following a review by the Commission staff and peer evaluators, the institution is determined by the Commission to satisfactorily meet the Pre-Applicant Minimum Requirements, it will be allowed to submit an application for Candidate for Accreditation Status.

Thank you for your message.  As referenced in my previous message, World University & School must be able to demonstrate that it meets the Pre-Application Minimum Requirements to be eligible to engage in the application process. Because the institution does not currently hold legal authorization or licensing from an appropriate governmental organization or agency to operate as a postsecondary educational institution and cannot currently award postsecondary degrees or hold proper legal exemption in accordance with Requirement of Affiliation No.1 and federal regulation 34 CFR §602.28(a), World University & School does not meet the Pre-Application Minimum Requirements.

Out-of-State Institution Seeking to Establish a Location in Pennsylvania

Out-of-state institutions or organizations must be authorized by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Education before conducting any education activity that awards academic or continuing education credit or charges a fee or tuition. Out-of-state institutions must have approval as an Education Enterprise before establishing a physical presence in Pennsylvania. (See 22. Pa. Greetings, John! I found your 2nd email gmail address in the SSA alumni directory just now, having had your 1st comcast email in my contacts' organizer for a long time. I remember your father Bill Tadler as a Shady Side Academy faculty member fondly. I've just moved back to Pittsburgh this autumn, from the SF Bay Area (on a kind of asylum journey even) and in developing MIT OCW-centric wiki World University and School on the east coast potentially accrediting newly with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. I noticed you're now a lieutenant in the Allegheny County Police. Nice to be in touch; I remember your wonderful sense of humor from SSA especially.

I'm writing to inquire about how best to make a City of Pittsburgh or Allegheny County police report into the former resident, named Jackson Shannon (who was biologically a dwarf I think too), in the front porch room in the house I'm living in near Penn and Braddock presently. The new male tenant in the front porch room said about a week ago that Jackson Shannon is deceased. And curiously a few weeks ago a city of Pittsburgh policeman in uniform was leaning with his back up against this front porch room's outer wall for something like a whole afternoon. The KK Rentals' owner / manager, LIsa Ximei Peng, in this email, had also shown the new couple (the man I mention above, and his partner I think, named Karen) in the front porch room around, which I saw when I was downstairs possibly at the beginning of November. How did Jackson Shannon die? Was he murdered? Did the new couple possibly participate in such a crime ... in order to be able to move into the front porch room, and possibly even set up an illegal business? I'd like to inquire about whether he even could have been murdered. How best to make such a police report please, John? 

I'm writing to ask how to make such a police report in calling for abolition of the illegal sex and drug industries internationally, and their latent networks of violence (and regarding MIT OCW-centric World University and School and seeking to code for all 7.9 billion people on the planet, and to protect them with law, law enforcement, machine learning and AI from perpetrators of such crimes). I noticed too, John, that you were in the FBI National Academy Session 254 in 2014 - https://www.linkedin.com/in/john-tadler-701ba6124/ - with possible relevance for my seeking to move back into a newly safe Canyon 94516 in the SF Bay Area on 9/1/23 and in related regards. 

It would be great to see you some time. I attended the Shady Side Academy homecoming this year (first time ever I think), and it was fun. Were you there by any chance? (And I saw Shawn Flaherty serendipitously on the street in Shadyside a few weeks before this).

Roland, thanks so much for Stanford Law CodeX (on Thursdays at 4:30 pm Eastern Time in Zoom these days), and for asking last Thursday at the beginning of the CodeX session for any announcements, - or asks, or needs. I'm writing to follow up having made another WUaS CodeX announcement last Thursday about World Univ & Sch's planned 200 law schools (in ~200 countries online and in their main languages - and with an interest in building a WUaS Law faculty potentially in collaboration with Stanford Law CodeX) ,with machine learning and AI too, with a new ask or need. CC-4 licensed MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch (WUaS Corporation too) is in need of great active Board members for both wings, a Chairman of the Board, a new CFO, a Chief Information Technology Officer, and a  new Chief Operating Officer, to begin. I've shared some of these needs with friend T.L., special envoy to Yemen in the US state department, and even regarding WUaS potentially collaborating with the US state department in its ~25 official Arabic language countries beyond Yemen World Univ & Sch https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Yemen - (which T has expressed great interest in facilitating out of the US state department, since at least in August when I visited him in NH on this asylum journey for 4 days) with Yemen's 30 million people (as wiki teachers and learners too), but also in all ~196 US state department countries. 

In releasing Larry Viehland from some of World Universities and Schools' (WUaS) responsibilities (like a 'released Friend' in the un-programmed Quakers' Friendly tradition) at World University and School, WUaS is seeking to build a great academic management team. It's possible that some of the ~12,000 people in the US state department might help in some of these roles, somehow, but I'd particularly be interested in growing such a team of directors in collaboration with Stanford Law (and Stanford Medicine).
