Developments with WUaS Cameroon, Africa and emerging from the free open CC-4 course "CSFirst withGoogle at World Univ & Sch" that Mwende is taking

Mwende,

Thank you for -

"the three courses I will love to start with;

1. Mathematics for Computer Science.

2. Introduction to Computer Science and Programming in Python.

        3. Introduction to CopyRight Law"

and I hope you're beginning to browse more fully on the MIT OCW web site. Did you send 3 other different MIT OCW courses a few weeks ago? I recall one with statistics in it. How is your CS First with Google at WUAS course going? I haven't yet added all the sessions with about 8 lessons per unit to the course for you yet, but they will indeed take some time. And are you pacing yourself with coding / doing a Scratch lesson every other day or so?

As a part of your ramping up - or going 'full force' - please consider reading or watching videos from an hour a day in each of the possibly 6 courses (so 6 hours per day of self-directed learning in a sense) you have sent in from the free materials on ocw.mit.edu ... Please remember that the courses you may begin with in May or in September from ocw.mit.edu - hopefully newly adapted in WUAS Google Workspace for Education by the Google Education Team - are introductory undergraduate courses at MIT (so for ~18 year olds), whereas the 'CSFirst withGoogle at WUaS' Scratch coding course is at a 4th - 9th grade level (9 year olds to 14 year olds in the USA) so WUaS may seek to offer ways to prepare students from Cameroon and all 200 countries for learning MIT OCW courses (regarding how much one would know from high school in the USA for them for highest achieving students - top of their class STEM students - here in the US, for example). Hopefully, the Google Education Team will help here, and create a buildable bridge of courses between CS First withGoogle at WUaS into MIT OCW in Google Workspace for Education that is interactive and engaging - and for many, many students not just in Cameroon but in all of the Gulf of Guinea's 14 countries. and even for students In all 54 countries in Africa, and even in all ~200 countries in the world (first in English, then in other countries' main languages!).

Glad you are thinking in terms of a 4 year 120 credit unit MIT OCW-centric 'marathon' now too! And for your information, and in noticing you sent in a Copyright Law undergraduate MIT course this time, I think, WUaS is planning to offer online law degrees and at Cameroon World Univ & Sch - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Cameroon (from - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Nation_States), in both French and English for free degrees! - that would only take 3 -4 years on average to complete, but beginning in a few years, so this could be an option for you if you wanted to shorten the length of possible graduate studies with a law degree, and not a PhD degree (that is if you don't decide to use your undergraduate WUaS BSc degree in 2026 to apply to another university, online or on-the-ground). For now I'm thinking about you at WUaS as a Computer Science Major and an Engineering Minor, with developing distribution units and requirements for completing a Bachelor degree here - worlduniversityandschool.org.

So, please give WUAS a little further time to either work with WUaS Google Workspace for Education for May perhaps with a few courses that WUaS selects that would be suitable for many many Cameroonian students, or even hire graduate student instructor interns to help facilitate self-learning of MIT OCW courses for example. WUaS would like to hire instructors, or develop a CS First-like interface, to teach the courses you might be interested in for example. In the meantime, am hoping that WUaS in Google Workspace for Education can make it possible for you to register for your upcoming courses, see your transcript, and order your Lego Robotics' kits (if an engineering minor, and in the WUaS Home Robotics' program), even beginning in May ... in connection with the Cameroon Departments of Education.

Best wishes, Scott

As you may know, WUaS is also developing wiki schools in all languages in Cameroon too, for open teaching and learning and local knowledge generation -

Thanks for the information you just gave me Mr Scott regarding WUaS Cameroon. It is a great milestone.

Regarding the other courses I sent last time, I had to go through some schools' curriculum both locally and internationally and came up with a list of 40 courses for a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and couples with the Lego Spike Robotics Kit which uses the same blocks (synthax) as Python, I decided to go chronologically beginning from these three so as to assimilate the materials as much as possible even as I sweep the credits.

I am also very interested in AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Machine Learning hence I will have to code with Python alot since this is the most suited programming language for this technological applications.

If you wish, I can forward the list of the 40 courses for the 120 credits so that we deliberate on it or you may just want to give me a suggestion.

I am keen to hear from you on this.

Thanks for your support.

Best Regards.

Hi VOLCANO, All,

As I've observed recently, WUaS is offering these WUaS free BAchelor degrees based on MIT OCW-centric courses ... and potentially in WUaS Google Workspace for Education. WUaS may not have WUaS Google Workspace for Education up and running by May, for courses to choose from, and how they will inform your learning, and studies, or transcript, so please stay tuned. Completing CS First withGoogle at WUaS is a great place to focus presently through the end of April in this spring term - https://csfirst.withgoogle.com/s/en/home. Hoping to get your WUaS Google Workspace for Education account set up in due course regarding registering for courses, transcript and ordering your Lego Robotics' kits for an Engineering degree Minor, for example

Best, Scott

Thank you for the information Mr Scott.

If I may suggest; A certificate of completion could be issued at the end of each course so that this can help to create a "library" of completed courses which will in-turn be used to produce transcripts and eventually the Bachelor's degree in case WUaS Google Workspace for Education is not set by May and also I will be done with CS First by the End of March if all the lessons are fed into the classroom work space.

This is important as it will partition a year into 4 terms which is ideal for the 120 credits as I might want to take 3 courses every term making it 36 credits per year and/or 108 credits in 3 years leaving me with 12 credits the 4th year which will be charged with my project and/or internship.

What do you think about this Mr Scott?

I look forward to getting your thoughts on this.

Best Regards,
MWENDE.

Galen, or shall I say UC BERKELEY Professor Emeritus Cranz, and Reed College alum too:)?,

After thinking about your question a little further, and with my interest in Physical-Digital Ethnographic field site research, I'm still in stay away from there, but please let me know if you go. That said, I think I'm going to begin to visit natural Hot Springs within a days' drive of the SF BAY AREA (the idea came to me more actively than before in the middle of a Bagpiping Topical group session this morning with the great Stuart Liddell in Argyllshire Scotland). You'll find a very great new YouTube format at top here - http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/12/doubledays-hummingbird-cynanthus.html?m=0 (with my 5 UC BERKELEY ANTHROPOLOGY talks 2012-2020) with an Onsen prime for visiting in a digital mask while soaking in one's bathtub, which is also central to my Harbin Hot Springs'Ethnographic field trip together project ... What natural hot springs do you like around these parts ðŸ™‚?

I inquired again with Sajjad and Deirdre last year, I think, if it was safe to head there, and in seeking a kind of invitation, but I didn't hear back. I don't know how the rebuilding is going but can imagine very slowly. So I don't know.

Could founder Ishvara become my next main informant  (and 'Avatar' even) for next Harbin Ethnography - after Sunheart for my first Harbin Ethnography?

And could Harbin also come under the oversight of Kaiser Permanente Richmond health organization (for psychiatric and other medical reasons)? I've been whistle blowing some about Harbin, Reed College, and UC Berkeley and Berkeley Law (Stanford too) and partly about the illegal sex industry internationally and its latent networks of violence and would like for me and students especially, to be safe in heading freely up to Harbin in the future!

Dear David Ross, FAHE (Friends Association for Higher Education), Friends, SF Quaker Meeting friends, All,

Greetings. With concerns about being assaulted in the SF Quaker Meeting some years ago (around 2017) by a minor (about which I haven't called the SF Police yet to report this, for example), as I was whistle-blowing about ethical wrong-doing in the SF Quaker Meeting and College Park Quarterly Meeting and PYM and FGC, and law breaking, and out of concern about both Haverford College being involved in the illegal sex industry internationally, as well as Ben Lomond Quaker Center near Santa Cruz, California, where Walter Sullivan was its director for some years not too long ago, I'm going to boycott this FAHE panel. Am calling for abolition of the illegal sex industry and its latent networks of violence, and especially regarding among Friends / Quakers (and especially regarding the SF Quaker Meeting, and of kids, tragically and grotesquely). Slavery - the wrongful buying and selling of people - was abolished in 1833 in England, and the Emancipation Proclamation in the US was in 1862, and if new forms of slavery have emerged today, am calling again for aboltion of this. Walter, are you going to resign from your Haverford position of student affairs soon?

Am living in a 'safe house' north of Berkeley, for having whistle-blown about Canyon 94516 - by calling the local Moraga police twice - Stanford, UC Berkeley, Berkeley Law, the SF Quaker Meeting, Harbin Hot Springs, and Reed College, among others. (Again, am calling for aboltion of contemporary forms of slavery especaily ... with improving and effective law and law enforcement) and in all 200 countries, as WUaS seeks to code for all 7.9 billion people on the planet each a Wikidata Pin #, and to end poverty via UBI experiments to distribute also a single cryptocurrency in most of 200 countries and backed by their central banks.

Friendly greetings, Scott

PS
The prospective WUaS undergraduate student from Cameroon Africa taking the new CC-4 licensed "CS First with Google at World Univ & Sch" sounds like he's committing to 4 years for a free-to-students' Bachelor's degree (as some of you may have been reading), and out of this came these re-inventing education Tweets today, and regarding much more "interactivity, integration, hypermedia, immersion, and new forms of narrativity" (Packer and Jordan 2001, and see
http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2016/03/birdwing-virtual-virtual-for-me-refers.html) :

. . .
from a related recent email -
Also, I've been receiving some curious Tweets to @sgkmacleod and @HarbinBook from a retired General Douglas Fraser (from 2 of his Twitter accounts I think). He was former Commander, United States Southern Command in the US Air Force, - and in my ongoing wondering about my father's (GKM MD) subdural hematoma in Belize in December of 2004 while off ship on Semester at Sea, and whether it could have been even state-mediated foul play, or assault and battery, - Douglas Fraser would / could have likely been the general in charge - tragically and grotesquely. (Is the military an organization for state-sanctioned murderers, thugs and perpetrators? I've heard this argument before). And if Fraser called this possible attack on Dad, how could I, for example, bring retired general Douglas Fraser to justice or to trial I wonder even? Calling for abolition of the illegal sex trade and its latent networks of violence - and it may sadly be that Fraser is one of the perpetrators? Bring a case to international court? In the Hague? Could Fraser also be a kind of broken general? (As Arne Duncan, former Secretary of Education Tweeted yesterday, "Hurt People Hurt People") Could there be some irony here too in that Fraser is calling for abolition of many kinds in the video below, from our Twitter conversation earlier today? (In our conversation I also ask about whether Douglas Fraser knows friends / Friends Tym Lenderking and Jim Spohrer). Am seeking not to become a victim of either state violence, or other latent networks of violence, while living in a cold 'safe house' north of Berkeley, for having whistle-blown about Stanford, UC Berkeley, Berkeley Law, the SF Quaker Meeting, Canyon - by calling the local Moraga police twice - and Reed College, among others. (Calling for aboltion of contemporary forms of slavery especaily ... and on Cuttyhunk too, with effective law and law enforcement. Am seeking to grow CC-4 MIT OCW-centric World Univ & Sch, and get back into the physical-digital actual-virtual Harbin Hot Springs' field for Ethnographic research)! Looking forward to staying in communication about all of this!

Abolitionally, and NTF friendly regards, Scott

Dear David, Donn, Stephen, FAHE, All,

Glad World Univ & Sch, partially Friendly-informed Quaker-wise, is growing.

As a follow up, and in seeking to grow an abolition movement further (and regarding the abolition of contemporary forms of slavery even, sadly and tragically, with which the nonEpidemic coronavirus pandemic has probably helped with for a while), am wondering how to significantly lessen any illegal sex industry practices even in Quaker colleges, for example, fundraising for sexual favors (how not to turn Quaker students into participants in the illegal sex trade). Am aware of the reputation of, for example, Ben Lomond Quaker Center, where Walter Sullivan was a director, and it potentially being a 'house of ill-repute' eg for all those non Christian-Quaker workshops in California that could facilitate the sex industry, and the use of hte space for this in its quiet times.

Am aware too that post LGTBQ developments especially in recent decades, that the illegal sex industry could even play a role in the Quaker colleges (Haverford, Swarthmore, Earlham, Guildford, Bryn Mawr, and others in FAHE that identify Quaker), and for fundraising in a variety of ways. Am wondering too how societal processes create a record of this potential law breaking, where these laws are developed to protect innocents, and protect people from becoming victims, for example. And am wondering what the lawyers and Quaker Boards at these Quaker colleges are doing to enforce laws, and prevent, for exapmle, the illegal sex industry. Could FAHE even, begin to develop Friendly inquiries into the history here, and as a form of documentation, which could be used both by these Quaker Colleges, Yearly Meetings with oversight of these Colleges (there may still be some, historically at least), and by the law, both state and federal (in the US). Since Quakers are also in many many countries, how to begin to focus these abolition questions in all ~200 countries even? Am aware too that student international programs in Quaker colleges could also be conduits for the illegal sex industry too. International Quaker student and other circles are part of this call for abolition (and also regarding law in all ~200 countries).

Sadly, and regarding the industry aspect of this, in one of my last times at Quaker Meeting in San Francisco, there was a 'magic circle' in the middle of the Meeting Room on the floor, with chairs in a circle around them, and kids getting on and off laps there, - and potentially tragically mention of Trader Joe's being involved here. I hope that Trader Joe's is not part of Friends (re Quaker Meeting's need for money), - and especially regarding Quaker children's programs. And from what I've seen in some Trader Joe's stores, at different times, I'd hypothesize that some of the women I've seen are prostitutes in the aisles, and while I hope not, and don't know how Trader Joe's navigates scoff-law issues in California, for example, I hope if a FAHE long-term inquiry could develop into Quaker Colleges and aboltion, that such issues as industry in these other regards, would not be ignored.

While I won't go into the other issues of my whistle-blowing about the SF Quaker Meeting in around 2017 here further, for example, since they aren't too related to FAHE Quaker Higher Education focus, I hope Quaker Meetings can begin to observe the law (even post Stonewall 1969 in the SF Bay Area culture) perhaps more than they have in the past, and that law enforcement, and MD psychiatry in particular can be made readily available to Quaker Meetings (for issues like protecing Quaker kids regarding pedophilia and child abuse, for example, and you'll find a letter about this in Quaker Meetings from long-time Brig Alexander here - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/03/pan-troglodyte-pan-paniscus-online-md.html), and that perhaps World Univ & Sch's online developing Medical Schools with online Teaching Hospitals can help - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Psychiatry (and potentially in collaboration with a Kaiser Permanent health organization in 8 US states), or even

Friends' Hospital in the Philadelphia area -
A Quiet Refuge for Healing

In boycott of this upcoming FAHE gathering, am seeking also to protect people at World Univ & Sch (partially Friendly-informed), and in planning even to code for all 7.9 billion people on the planet, each a Wikidata Pin#, with Friendly concern for the aboliton of contemporary forms of slavery, even, and from Quaker history's long engagement with aboltion.

Friends, how please could FAHE help to further this call for abolition and in Quaker Colleges for example?

Friendly greetings, and abolition-ally, Scott

PS and see too this email to my mother and friends in some of these regards from October 3, 2021
Ma, All,

In calling for abolition (of the illegal sex industry), following on the abolition of slavery, and re the Dartmouth College and Bryn Mawr College summer dormitory example re 'hotel law' too (https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2021/09/borneo-orangutan-pongo-pygmaeus_072504751.html) ... re Hotels in many countries (England, most of 200 countries even???) ... which could be scofflaw places of the illegal sex industry for centuries even, am wondering what would need to change legally and law enforcement wise too to achieve abolition ... And even with genetic cloning emerging ... A ferret cloned from a single mammary cell (that's reproductively viable) is not the same as a ferret born naturally in most of 200 countries' courts of law ... And if it's a cloned Dolly the sheep (1995) ... How would law enforcement work in places like hotels re abolition (what would be the genetic test which police could use to distinguish a cloned human (not subject to the same laws as 'real' people, from someone, woman or man, engaging in the illegal sex trade because they were the victims of attacks in their youths even)?  (How to redress with psychiatry in part such harms?)

Slavery as an institution was abolished in England in 1833, and in the USA, on the legal books, in 1862 with the Emancipation proclamation ...
