"Yale announces free online access to museum, library collections" -
to World Univ & Sch's main Library Resources -
and Museum pages -
I wonder to what degree libraries and museums around the world, en masse, can digitize their collections, for access by all, -especially before the next recent Bagdhad tragedy of looted libraries and museums - to be linked here http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Museum AND http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Library_Resources , in ALL languages !
Individual universities, like MIT with open course ware, and now Yale, benefit themselves.
Perhaps Yale, as well as Google Books, will become the HOW TO models for digitizing significant collections & languages.
Friend: maybe now i can read some of my great, great, great grandfathers letters online... hehehe
I'm curious how long it will take, and what the sequence of digitizing will be ... I suspect Google Books will be one model ... amazing resources ahead :)
Such rich & varied 'Flow' learning opportunities in idea & knowledge spheres:
Yale Digital Commons:
... an amazing Resource ...
Thank you, Yale! :)
What other FREE learning gems, like this one, will flower soon?
