Changbai Mountains: The decks and the growth of the Harbin pool area, as place, have happened organically

Harbin ethnography:

... The Res Center, as place, represents a space for residents to be together, in which weekly dinners for Residents only on Friday evenings are now beginning to be held.

The decks and the growth of the Harbin pool area, as place, have happened organically, in a Harbin way, and often as spaces for relaxation in the nude. These decks and open spaces for hanging out, in warm weather, in the sun, kind of surround the pools themselves, and make possible the in and out of the waters, that lead to a kind of heightened, easing Harbin experience of freedom. The Sun Deck, directly above the Redwood Health Services Massage Office was replanked with ecologically-sound, recycled, decking material, from redwood planks, in around 2006 or 2007. A new little deck was put in in 2008-2009 at the far end of the pool area, for more sun bathing. Each of these decks is like a little glade in the forest for sunbathing, in general, though, they are free from the detritus of the forest floor, and elevated, with views.

The redwood Sleeping Deck was built in 1985. ...
